You dont read very well at all. LSU never reported to the NCAA it was fake money, right after it happened they told REPORTERS they thought it was fake money, it was self-reported to the NCAA it was $2k.

Where did I say it was the lynchpin? The NCAA is going to try to cobble together as many incidents as possible and present a case for lack of institutional control.

LSU wasnt involved in any of that, they self reported when they finally found out about it.
