Again, how Sankey looks to you is irrelevant. He answers to 16 people and 15 seemed pretty strongly behind him. I haven't said any of that stuff in your little fantasy. I have said one side gave up something in all this and it wasn't Sankey and the SEC and you have countered it with nebulous claims about "posters on here saying x or y"
In addition to my who gave up what question I'll add, who does Sankey answer to? The presidents and chancellors of the 16 SEC member institutions or posters here?

Caved how? They were following the rules the entire time and telling the SEC they never planned on breaking those rules. A knee was never bent because nothing ever happened except for some players making Stankey get behind the stand and testify for 3 hours and he went on a power trip. He will be replaced before next season. And I’ll put however much money you want to bet on that.

This fan base has lost its collective minds if they call this a win. Your program caved in and fell in line just in the nick of time. To see it any other way is delusional at best and downright Dunning/Kruger thinking. The money spent and the horrible attention didn't make LSU look stronger. It made it look weak caving in. They did what they were "told to do". You guys keep on thinking it was a win. The normal people... well we see it for what it was. It was a Lane attention grab created by a coach who's going to leave you for the first NFL golden egg to come his way. It's who Lane is. Good luck with that slimeball.
It's a cult, man. What did you expect?

People can't seem to acknowledge the fact that Lane and LSU played this as about as well as you could. This was never about adding "NFL players". The two in question have very good existing relationships with Lane and he saw a chance to add mature experienced depth to a already loaded roster. He knew this all.along and alluded to it in a press conference, this was about giving these guys a chance to keep playing ball.
He showed the players hes willing to fight for them against the machine (NCAA/SEC), and if you don't think that helps future team chemistry and recruitment then you can't see beyond your own bias and/or what the media tells you to think.
LSU broke zero rules, got massive PR, will receive zero penalties, and will help the conference by showing the world the utter incompetence of Sankey.

...every member institution should be just as alarmed about this as we are. This entire conference will continue to play second fiddle to the B1G as long as Sankey is at the helm.
Yep, we all know where the problem is. The solution should have been implemented years ago.

So where are the fines, sanctions, and suspensions????
Those 2 players won't make or break us. It was in the best interest of LSU and the SEC for us not to roster those players. You should thank LSU for de-escalating the situation and putting the focus back on playing football. But ask yourself if what LSU did was so bad then why isn't the SEC doing something about it with punishments right now? The SEC when from expelling us to basically wanting to pretend like nothing happened. Why is that??? I know the answer. The question is if yall 'know-nothings" do.

What money did we spend? The suit was filed by players and their attorneys. Whatever legal fees are incurred will not be that significant.
LSU is where it was when this was manufactured by Sankey and the sanctimonious, hypocritical asswipes of the other programs.
The biggest critics were people like Finebaum who is an SEC mouthpiece, Matt Hayes (Gator), Dellinger (Moo U), Steven Godfrey (Ole Piss), etc all with agendas against LSU and particularly Kiffin. There were plenty who called it hypocrisy and stupid and sided with the players.
Recruits loved it.
Besides, you're a Gamecock. Your in-state rival owns you. LSU has a 20-2 -1 record vs your chickens. You've never won anything. We made your best coach, Spurrier, quit.

the two players were not going to be starters. they would add depth. from the very beginning Lane said they would not play the players if they weren't eligible. Sankey got his arse handed to him on the witness stand by the players lawyer because he lied and couldn't answer questions. LSU as a school never did anything wrong. Sankey and a few of his minions thought that they could scare LSU into thinking that they would be kicked out of the SEC. boy did that backfire on them! now Sankey and the SEC will be sued by those same two players who aren't even on LSU's team. lol the stories just write themselves.

Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end.

Yeah this came out of nowhere. LSU didn’t ever do anything wrong, they were just singled out by the SEC because they are scared of Lane Kiffin.
The LSU athletic program is ran so well that they don’t even need conference affiliation to win football games haha

You better care about the business aspect of this, because as long as that dipshit is in charge of the conference we will be left behind. Not just LSU - every one of you.
