LSU’s knee was bent to halt the penalties that were coming for lsu. You did the one thing the sec told you to do to avoid an arse beating. LSU cucked.
Welllll akshually it’s a stalemate.
fricking retard
They were never going to do anything to risk penalties in the first place.
I realize you'll never understand this though.

There's always "that chance" the two individuals at the center of this are going to sue the SEC (and perhaps the NCAA) and win at least a settlement.
This won't have anything to do with LSU.

At the end of the day, these players were being cleared to return to college so Kiffin recruited them, in case they could actually play.
He stated throughout the process that they'd comply with court orders but would ultimately look to the conference for guidance. He also stated that if he didn't sign these players, someone else would. The players admitted to being recruited by multiple programs.
The rest of you completely freaked out, your presidents went nuclear, and the players didn't end up being cleared by the conference.
And now life moves on. I think we did learn that this conference is ran by actual incompetent people, though.
Good summary. This is what happened, but most SEC fans and the most of the media are ignorant and just lap up the pablum fed them. Watching some of the more thoughtful media members come around this week after they actually looked into this instead of drinking from the Propaganda Firehose has been a little encouraging.
Y’all are ridiculous.

hahaha, that lawsuit is the one I'm talking about dumb dumb. They had to push it back because the SEC had no legitimate proof. Thats why no one knows what you are talking about. do better.....

I learned that this conference, from fans to media to the commissioner, is full of morons.
We learned during COVID that people will believe what they want to believe and ignore truth staring them right in the face. It is amazingly similar. No point in trying to convince people who are either intellectually dishonest or just plain dumb.
As an LSU fan, I don't feel like we won anything. Figuring out you are surrounded by a conference of retards isn't exactly a winning feeling.
Maybe I should have known that already.

I don't get why he didn't just end it before it got this far.
Is Lane Kiffin behind every lawsuit or player in the country playing this year under a TRO? Was he there in Colorado telling the Colorado court to give the 2022 players their 5th year? Even in this case, there were plenty of other athletes from other schools involved in that particular case, it wasn't just LSU players, because LSU wasn't a party of the suit. These players have agents that are trying to maximize their value for this year, and seeing these court cases across the country, their agents saw an opportunity for them, like many others in similar situations, to use their 5th year of eligibility and probably encouraged them to pursue it. Kiffin is not some singular person in their ears that told them to go through with the suit.
I can admit that Lane probably told the players that if they were eligible that he'd given them a spot. Why wouldn't he think he could do that? Many teams across the country were doing basically the same thing, rostering players ruled ineligible by the NCAA but still rostering them because the courts gave them permission and the conferences never got involved before, they all seemed to be willing to listen to the courts leading up to this. And he was also not the only ones that pursued them fwiw, LSU just happened to be the one they committed to. And at the time that the players joined the suit, the conference did not post those rules yet. It was only after the case had been filed, a week before being heard, that the SEC came out with those rules.
At that point, what do you want Kiffin to do? Do you think Kiffin has the power to halt a court hearing involving dozens of athletes from different schools? He repeatedly said BEFORE THE COURT HEARING that he would follow the conference rules. Go look up his press conference from before the hearing, and you'll hear him say it. The SEC is the one that created new rules at the last minute which is why they got enjoined to the case, again that was not Kiffin's doing, that was the SEC inserting themselves unnecessarily. Keep in mind, this is before the court hearing and when the SEC came out with those rules, Kiffin said he would follow them. And Kiffin is also not in charge of the courts, players form all over the country have won similar cases, it's no shock that these players won.
Then the players win, and Kiffin, just like he indicated before the hearing ever took place, followed the SEC's rules and didn't add them to the roster. Again, please point out to me where he went against the conference, or ever indicated any intentions to go against the conference?
They play a game, without the players on the roster, and have a great showing. Should be the end of it right? But then the SEC even after the whole saga of Kiffin repeatedly saying he would follow the SEC rules, and then following through with abiding by SEC rules, decides to file a lawsuit and threaten to expel LSU from the league. And again, for what? Where exactly did Kiffin and LSU go against the SEC in this entire saga?

Yeah I never said any of this. As a fan of the reigning conference champions and the one school that even LSU fans make no claims that we would trade our coach for Lane and has simply been quietly going about their business I am simply an outside observer here and it sure looks like LSU ultimately did what the SEC wanted here. Anyway I don't expect we'll be seeing much of LSU this year unless I tune into the Capital One Bowl or something.

They did. Lane said from the start that they'd go by conference rules and guidance.

Lol, the SEC championship is irrelevant if you cant win it all, buttercup. I never said anything about you guys trading coaches, lol. I couldn't name the last 3 SEC champions. I can however name the last 3 national champions because thats what matters. You guys are retarded and thick skulled. I'm not going to explain this again because its already been explained to you multiple times. You are just too dumb to understand.

My comment is from Google AI. I guess it got the lawsuit info from somewhere huh?
A lot of people know about it.

The money spent and the horrible attention didn't make LSU look stronger. It made it look weak caving in. They did what they were "told to do". You guys keep on thinking it was a win. The normal people... well we see it for what it was. It was a Lane attention grab created by a coach who's going to leave you for the first NFL golden egg to come his way. It's who Lane is. Good luck with that slimeball.
What money spent? LSU is not part of these player suits.
As for caving, the day after Sankey got his arse handed to him in Baton Rouge District Court LSU informed the SEC that they would abide by conference rules and did not roster the players. But nooooooooo! The SEC calls a mtg to expel LSU who is 100% compliant and pretty much quiet on the issue.
Now they have crawled back in their whole with their Fed lawsuit and their Presidents mtg to discuss concession stand prices.
LSU filled their roster spots to satisfy SEC but there are other schools who did not and were not threatened with their continued existence.
Also, the whole issue has called into question the capability and smarts of the SEC leadership in the minds of many major media players… i.e. they dont look to smart right now.

Google AI pulls from old articles and often uses opinions not facts. I thought Auburn fans were supposed to be more intelligent than bama fans. I guess the whole state is retarded.

How exactly should he "fight" it in your opinion?
The SEC had it continued to a later date.

This LSU/SEC situation has been brewing for just a few months.. if that...
What do you mean "old articles"? Keep defending. Maybe if you didn't have Lane's balls down your throat, you could be a bit more objective.
My care meter is pretty low here about Lane or LSU, but I will argue with you for a while about it. That's what's fun to me.

I don't think a bad season 20 years ago is keeping him from the NFL. Coaches are hired, fired, and rehired all the time.
