I’ve heard this from 2 LSU alumni .
The PE group wants to maximize
their TV rights along the lines of Notre Dame.

Please do

They would be independent or in the Big 12/ACC. The Big 10 wouldn’t take them due to academics

The PE group believes LSU could still
play a few of their traditional rivals and
Double their current share to SEC tv money.

LSU would lose money by going independent. Notre Dame makes less on their deal than each SEC school. They choose to stay independent because they like to have an oversized voice on key decisions. Perhaps that's attractive to LSU, but in terms of throwing their weight around, they aren't Notre Dame.

I am sure these investors have LSU’s best interest at heart. LSU should go ahead and give them control of the athletic program.

ND doesn’t play the same caliber of opponents and their tv contract was extended in 2023. The numbers have
changed.
