SEC teams should not schedule a single OOC game with any teams with a pulse. That likely kept Texas out of the playoff. Sure, they probably were not winning it all, but if college football REALLY wants strong early season matchups, they had a golden opportunity to incentivize doing that. IMO they should use the old BCS style computer rankings, and the committee should have the power only to alter the 12th seed, or maybe 11th and 12th in certain circumstances.
Also, Fighting Irish should have no automatic inclusion… join a conference or get shut out.
