I don’t recall Archer grinding on recruits either.
The trajectory is the same.
College football was better when the players
were at least pretending to be students.

Because the funds have traditionally gone
to football, basketball, and baseball in
the South.
There hasn’t been a push to
add Men’s soccer because the pro leagues
tend to develope their own players without
using colleges as a taxpayer subsidized.
feeder system.
Because other students are students first and aren’t getting paid to
play a game ? No one is forced to be a college athlete.

A haiku format is 5-7-5.
I imagine the AD’s are all for dropping the number
of sports so they can concentrate on football and
basketball exclusively.
As a taxpayer, I don’t want my tax dollars for education being used
to subsidize a pro or semi pro league for the NFL. I doubt you agree
with what football would look like in a true free market system. It’s
socializing the costs and privatizing the losses for most schools
and conferences.
Kiffin gets bonuses based on total wins, bowl wins, and I think final rankings. He‘lol
run up the score a bit.
24-3 loss at home to Ole Miss isn’t a bad loss ?
That’s a rational, unemotional argument for Ole Miss. Amen.
I think the committee put a lot of stock on
recent form. A loss early in the season
has less weight than a loss in November.
In other words, they want teams in good
form for the playoffs.
“Badly to LSU “ ? They lost in OT after letting LSU hang around.
Actually, I remember Kiffin complaining about fake injuries his first season at Ole Miss. this ruling helps the uptempo offenses obviously.
Imagine a defense player pissed at his coach faking an injury just to
stick it to the coach.
