Not when they go to a rival. If he was
leaving a LSU team heading for the playoffs to coach Ole Miss, LSU wouldn’t let him coach in the playoffs either.
I don’t think Lane expected to stay. That
was just trying Lane trying to have it both ways.
Perhaps he feels he should be the center of attention at all times ? That’s
definitely a narcissistic trait. Hopefully
he can handle the heat when he hits a
bump in the road. The low expectations
at Ole Miss are just an excuse to justify
jumping ship in a playoff run.
What if this plan isn’t being done to help
LSU but to line the pockets of the “investors” ? Perhaps LSU is the mark
and perhaps this is just a roundabout
way to funnel money back to the Governor’s campaign fund ?
Perhaps LSU athletics has debt they
need to roll over but current interest
rates are prohibitive. This deal robs Peter to pay Paul. They pay off their
high interest debt now and it only costs
them a percentage of future revenue
in perpetuity.
Florida is number one in girls with great
bodies but with bulldog faces.
If you want to see how PE works in sports, look at Manchester United.
The Glazers took control and loaded
the organization with debt to pay themselves back for the purchase price
and then some.
The customer. Jersey Mike’s prices
are through the roof.
Well if you can’t prevent players from earning income playing college football,
can you set a limit on the number of
years they can do so ?
The old NASL names were pretty
interesting. Philadelphia Fury,
Chicago Sting, etc… look up the Colorado Caribou uniforms if you
want to see what the late 70’s were like.
Then they are independent contractors
who can be held to the stipulations of the contract.
Normally it’s termed penalties for not
adhering to terms of the contract.
Independent contractors can also
be held to the terms of their contract.
The players were probably told one thing by LSU’s coaching staff but
it wasn’t in the written agreements
the players signed. LSU will probably
wait to pay the funds and spin it as
them taking care of their players when they finally do. Deadbeat U.
Sure, they’ll mention LSU not keeping their word to players and trying to stiff a
coach they hired.
I’m sure they offer remedial reading
courses in Angola.
It would tell me as a player that LSU
won’t honor any verbal promises made.
Remember, LSU didn’t want to pay
Kelly either. They will eventually assist
the players because they probably
have an agreement to do so, but
it’s not been their practice to honor
contracts timely.
I believe what he is saying is that the
grift in Louisiana and the over importance of football in relation to what is really matters will help him achieve
his goals.
It’s certainly nicer than Tiger Stadium.
