I had already been so pissed off by the Auburn-footsie debacle that was that season, I was watching the game on my phone in Ajax with my wife. He went for it I think on the first drive and after we failed, I just turned it off.
And I don’t think you can ignore how good Carneiro is as a kicker, regardless of how good you think your offense or defense is.

Honestly, as a Georgia fan I wish they'd have let Lane coach too

Maybe...lol...when I play the lottery rarely I say maybe, then reality hits and I get zero numbers right or maybe 1.....

I don't think it looks much different with Lane.
CWJ was calling plays and the offense wasn't really the problem necessarily.
If Miami would've just lined up and ran the ball consistently, they would've rolled easily. They physically dominated Ole Miss.

Miami was an extremely athletic team last year. Big fast and physical. Questionable decision making from coaches at pivotal moments. They reminded me a lot of Les miles lsu. Which honestly would have been an impressive run in any era that didn’t have saban.

Why are you so convinced he would even go for it? Analytics say to generally go for it on 4th and 4 or less.
What do the analytics say about running halfback direct snap on 4th and 5 on a sloppy field and giving the other team the ball at the 25?

I don't know if they would've won it all. I kind of agree that he would've went for it, instead of kicking the two field goals against GA. What I do know is, that without Kiffen graciously allowing his offensive staff to coach the team, Tech would've beaten the dogshit out of them. At this point, that's all that matters. They got some bragging rights with the help of our coaches.

I don't, that would've went against his MO for the season. He generally kicked field goals if it was 4th and 5 or longer.
As for 4th and short, Pete went for 2 of those anyway, and converted 1 of them.

Don't accept the LSU job and you could have coached Ole Miss in the CFP!

**Gone
It's probably because broadcasters generally tend to say it that way so it sticks in our brains.
