So a coach that was good at ole miss and brought them to their best stretch since what the 50s-60s should translate pretty well to LSU
Kiffin doesn’t need to be a better coach than he was at ole Miss to be successful at LSU but if he becomes better, great!

You have to understand, Ole Miss fans believe LSU isn't really that big of a step up.
They believe Ole Miss is a big dog contender. That NIL has evened the playing field for them.
An Ole Miss fan would tell you they're much closer to being Georgia than being Mizzou.

He certainly will be able to have just as much talent at LSU if not more
So even if the difference is slight, that points to good things for LSU, even if there is no difference than if the ole miss fans assume they are a big contender than they have to assume the same for LSU now
But also LSU would definitely become a significantly better destination if guard rails ever get put on nil and the portal

Ole Miss logic = Ole Miss spending a lot of money makes them a contender.
Also,
LSU spending even more money with the same people who were at Ole Miss last year, will blow up spectacularly.

Did Nick Saban say that or did Lane say that's what Saban said? Big difference. I don't think the guy that Saban also admitted that NIL and transfer portal has changed things. Is LSU a better job than Ole Miss, yes it is. Any of our fans arguing that are just wrong. LSU has more historical success, a larger alumni base (NIL$), and more in-state talent. That said, the gap between the two is not what it was in 2010. Is LSU actually a better job than UGA, Texas, OSU, Alabama? No it is not.
All Kiffin needed to say was I think I can win easier at LSU than Ole Miss because of the in-state talent and money. Can't argue with that and it's understandable.

LSU literally just had the most signees for Nike endorsements of all the programs in the country and it was by a big margin, they had the first offensive lineman signee with Nike ever, AND obviously more 5-star recruit commitments here in less than a year than at that other place in 6 years

This should definitely lead to atleast 3 or 4 national championships right? Anything short of that is abject failure. I literally do not think lane will lose a single game as head coach of the LSU tigers. Literally. He is that good. Plus, the lsu job has been elite in the modern era (post 2020). I mean the winningest coach in Notre Dame history put together some of the best 4 -5 loss teams in LSU history during his time there.

Now, without even coaching a game at LSU, Lane is CLEARLY the 2nd best coach after Saban in modern program history (post-Cholly Mac, I'll admit Arnsparger was top-tier but short-lived)
Paul Dietzel and Cholly Mac are the GOATs from the past, basically our Bear Bryant(s)

lsu is the only school to have 3 different coaches win national championships since 2000. hell since 2003. I dont know if its happened in the sec before at all besides at lsu.
there is no other power 4 job in the state to compete with. its a national brand in the sec that puts out as much nfl talent as anyone.
