N.Dame is probably richer than LSU, but up until recently, they had academic regulations that hurt them in recruiting.

Nick saban never said that. He has actually said Georgia head coach is the best job in college football. He has said leaving lsu was his biggest regret because it made him realize how much more he enjoyed college football. But lsu fans pretend the rest of the quote didn’t happen. The him saying lsu is the best job is just more delusion derived from the original delusion that won’t let them process the full quote.

Lane himself said Nick told him that so either Nick did in fact tell him that or Nick is fine with letting Lane put words in his mouth because Nick has not denied Lane's story to this day

I can google where nick saban said Georgia is the best job in the sec. I can google where lane claims nick said lsu job is best job in America. Two things I can’t do is google nick saban saying lsu is the best job in college football and trust what lane kiffin says

Ok well regardless of what you do, Nick has not said anything denying Lane's story since he uttered it so have fun I guess
what's public record is Lane said he spoke with Saban and Pete Carroll and they both told him he'd regret it if he didn't take the LSU job and how great that job is, neither Nick nor Pete have denied that story so do with that what you will

So are you arguing this is all a lie? Do you not know how powerful the brand of LSU is internationally and the advantages they have being the only big-time school in a state that produces the most NFL players per capita? Lane literally laid it out in his presser today.
Saban constantly looks back on his LSU days fondly when he's been able to reflect publicly on his career, you really think he would shite on the LSU job when Lane came to him? Lane, Nick, and Terry have a good relationship presently as evidenced by Lane's appearance on the panel including Nick and them discussing stories about Tiger Stadium. Lane also said Pete Carroll told him the same thing, cmon man!
You just bitter both Lane AND Jon Sumrall passed on your school for better schools.
I understand the power of the LSU brand, but if you are talking about brand it is not shite on Texas, OSU, Bama, UGA and Notre Dame for that matter. LSU had an incredible run, because yes, they are the only major Division 1 school in the state. NIL levels the playing field a bit. Will a Louisiana kid go to LSU over other SEC programs if the money is all the same, probably. Are they turning down an extra $5k to go out of state, probably not.
And give it a rest on the Saban thing, do you expect him to publicly shite on LSU now that he's on ESPN and arguably the face of college football? Lane couldn't even get an interview with Bama after Saban retired. If Saban loved Kiffin that much, he would have told them to hire him. He gave Lane advice, as I'm sure he offers the same to everyone that has coached for him. Nick telling Lane he has a better chance to win championships at LSU is not the same as saying LSU is the best job in the country.

Program with the most Nike endorsements of any in the sport and it isn't even close for 2nd place, first offensive lineman with a Nike endorsement, also more 5-star high school recruits than his 6 years at OM

You're the one who brought it up and Nick hasn't denied Lane's story so either Nick indeed told Lane that or he's fine with letting Lane put words in his mouth, either way it helped LSU
