What would annexing Cuba do for us besides getting rid of the communist running it and becoming rich in cigars? Maybe strategic land for war purposes? Do they have any minerals?

That's debatable about the SEC toughness. In general, the football opponents were tougher back then. Florida had to play FSU twice in '96 if I'm not mistaken and ran into a buzzsaw in Nebraska one year.

Spurrier built a dynasty and had a MUCH harder road to win a natty then what Urby did. Not taking away from what he did just saying. Like Miles coming in after Saban built the winning culture at LSU.

Napier seems like a good dude, but the bottom line is Winning and he didn't cut it. It's one thing to win in the SUNBELT or AAC but it is quite a step up to the SEC.
