Ole Miss received some positive news on star running back Kewan Lacy following Saturday night's 32-24 win over LSU in Oxford.
According to ESPN's Pete Thamel, Lacy's left shoulder injury is not expected to keep him sidelined for an extended period. However, his availability for Saturday's road game remains uncertain as the Rebels monitor his recovery throughout the week.
Lacy underwent an MRI on Sunday after suffering the injury early in the third quarter against LSU.
Ole Miss head coach Pete Golding told reporters after the game that X-rays on Lacy's shoulder came back negative. Golding also revealed that Lacy wanted to continue playing despite the pain, but the Rebels elected to keep him on the sideline with backup running back Kewan Lindsey performing well.
