Why is everyone so scared of what LSU is going to become. He is also the second LSU quarterback to win the Heisman in the last five years. How is your Heisman winner doing in the NFL?

I mean...Bryce Young was a former Heisman Trophy winner whose Top 5 status in the draft was all but sewn up. Yet he decided to play with his teammates one final time in a "meaningless" Sugar Bowl game against Kansas State.

Bryce had a lot to gain by playing in that game. There was at least one mock draft that had him going as the 4th QB off the board prior to that game. Also, it was the Sugar Bowl, not the ReliaQuest Bowl.

Problem with going early in the draft is you go to a crappy team.

Contrast this with someone like Brock Bowers, whose agent told him to take off the year after tight rope surgery and just get ready for combine. Brock Bowers fired him and then worked to get back on the field 4 weeks later because he's a football player, and football players play football.

Why would he play? Not like playing Wisconsin is going to make his draft stock go up.

I actually agree with his decision to sit out. It's not like LSU is playing for anything worthwhile and no need to get injured and lose millions.

Thirty-two years ago today, a collegiate superstar with one year of NCAA eligibility remaining left school early for the pros. But the player wasn’t entering the 1983 NFL Draft. Instead, Georgia tailback Herschel Walker was signing on with the United States Football League’s New Jersey Generals.

What else you got?

The sport is imploding at a breakneck pace.

Bowl games are quickly turning into exhibition games for 2nd and 3rd stringers. I would expect the first CFP optouts to start in a year or two.

Everyone trying to troll LSU in this thread agrees with you if they're being honest.
