the federal suit? that will take months, if it moves fwd.

the LA injunction hearing might be heard by November, but we are protected til then

TBD on the playoff committeee
I think we might shut them out. My final pick is something like 38-7 and they get a late score on our 3rd teamers
Look at all them amateurs. Can't wait to go pro i bet, get the big bucks
Imagine your team playing at noon.. couldn't be me!

On roster. It's not enforceable in my (unqualified) legal opinion

blackballed by the playoff committee

they can get added to the injunction as well

we cant do that now... we've been enjoined on the injunction. if we leave them off it opens us up to liability as well

SEC can't define it, much like the democrats can't define a female

And they'll be added to the lawsuit post haste.

Remember all yall said the SEC is independent from the NCAA and can enforce their own rules?

How did that work out??

Well the new SEC rule prevents us from even rostering the players. It's not enforceable based on the injunction however.

Why? The players got to play in normal seasons their entire careers and the rule change came after their last year of eligibility. They aren't owed anything

Bc its patently unfair, some might call it discriminatory. Thankfully judges from across the nation agree

Burrrrrr!!!!!!

The cutoff was going to be arbitrary regardless of when it was. It has to start somewhere.

They could have easily done it in February but wanted chaos. Most of these guys never goto the NFL if they know they're getting a 5th year.

By waiting until after the NFL draft they knew it would create this mess.. or maybe they're just that incompetent

quote:

Before this you literally couldn't play 5 years without a redshirt of some kind. If you played 4 years, you were done.

Covid year, which is what the NCAA should have done here..blanket extra year across the board would have prevented countless lawsuits and litigation
The NCAA screwed the pooch with their 5 for 5 ruling. Why were these 2022 players excluded?

The only NCAA class since 2018 that wasn't afforded 5 year.

All for a damn TE, and backups.

Just shows you don't know what the frick you're talking about

Harris started every game for Ole Miss last year and played nearly 600 snaps. Once he gets healthy he is a big time peice of the DT rotation, if not an outright starter.

You realize we may be starting 2 true freshman at DT, right???
Yeah 1st and 2nd team ALL SEC 5th year players.

If these guys are such scrubs then why are yall bitching so much?

Either they arre "NFL vets" who got such an advantage in camp or they are scrubs. Can't have it both ways.

By the way, Harris was released after 2 days with a broken foot and never saw the field. Got paid a total of $190
quote:

agree, I don't think they will unless they're 100% sure they won't get punished.

LSU could now be liable if we dont roster them.
