It's the frick car quest bowl not a NY6 or a CFP I rather see nuss run the show. Its better for the program and Jadyn can't get hurt and focus on the draft.
Name a heisman winner that was playing in a 2nd tier bowl and didn't have eligibility left.
He has played himself into a top 5 draft pick why chance it for a ps5

This is 100% correct and is why I shake my head at people vehemently defending him. The Heisman was decided by the aTm game. Why risk playing?
It was not. If he had opted out for the A&M game, Michael Penix would have won the Heisman. As it was, this was the closest Heisman in 6 years. No way the voters would have rewarded him for not playing against A&M.
I don't like that he's opting out, but I understand and I don't think it reflects on his moral character.

Why would he play?
For his fellow teammates. To finish the job. To win the game. For pride. Because it is the right thing to do.
It shows that Daniels cares more about himself than the team.

Wasn’t Lynyrd the first to start this bowl opt out trend? Pretty sure that he was.

Bo Nix was told he had no future at Auburn as Qb. That he was only good to hold a clipboard. He transferred and that coach got runoff. ( with a lot of money). Worked out for both.

The reason Bama players don't opt out is not love for dear old Gump U. It is because they know your fans are crazy and would probably try to shoot them or burn their family's house down if they didn't play! It's not LOVE, it is FEAR of your ignorant redneck fans!!! Tree killers, sexual assaulters anyone???

He has no chest, yet again he quit on his team. Will never make in the NFL.

Why do you care? For the record, it's better for the program and better for him. Nussmeier is the future and needs all the reps. Daniels' play has put LSU in position to recruit the best QBs nationally and now he needs to secure a huge contract. It's a win-win for both parties. Playing in the bowl would do nothing for LSU or him.

Hate it happening but don’t blame him. It’s all business and has been since the early 80’s. Back in the days when following your team meant you owned an AM radio unless you were at the game it still had some facet of being tied to a school and a state but now that every game is on TV live it’s a television show. How many here would still listen to a radio broadcast 9 games a year?
