The only thing more annoying than an Ivy League grad that thinks they've solved everything in life by graduating from Harvard or Yale ? The same damn attitude out of Austin, Texas.

You can check with Chicken, I have probably down voted maybe 5 times since c19 and probably not much more before that. If you are getting down voted I can assure you, it is not me.

Uh... you do know a Vanderbilt fan started this thread and not a Texas fan, right?

To be fair this is more modern. Cornell and Auburn are my 2 go to's for vets and Dartmouth folks have always had a good sense of humor. Brown had more of the toffee nosed folks. Not a fan of Yale but I am OK with Harvard and Princeton.

One of my favorite people of all time was a Harvard man.

They are worse because they think they are Ivy but have no clue they are not.

Michigan and Virginia are the only State schools on that level.

I feel like at some point you or your kids must have applied to A&M and been rejected. You seem obsessed with bad mouthing the school. You're giving off psycho ex-girlfriend vibes.

I'm sorry debunking your anecdotal experience and church conversations with widely accessible and basic secondary research facts gives you ex GF vibes. A&M can both be a good school, and meaningfully easier to get into than UT Austin at the same time.

Last thing- something you keep failing to comprehend is that Texas A&M has been put into this situation by the state government.

What you keep failing to comprehend is that 40%+ of Texas A&M's class falls outside the top 10%, so no. In 1999 this was the case (51% were NOT top 10%), and in 2010 (50% not), and in 2022 (40% not).

The 1997 top 10% law was in place ~15 years before A&M's last 10 years student stuffing binge and watering down faculty rates.

Get it? UT Austin has had significantly higher admissions standards for decades, its not a new thing. If you don't like the vibe, go on Texags or stop posting easily debunked trivia.

It's not the difficulty of getting into a school which matters. It's wtf you have to do to finish a degree program.

I have attended both schools. Aggie Professors are hardasses who generally want to attrit the graduating class size down.

And i dgaf if Longhorns want to believe it or not but a Texas A&M degree is more difficult to attain.

Did those hardass A&M professors forget to teach you that a singular data point doesn't mean jack shite?

Imagine being so insecure about your degree you have to go online convincing strangers that it was harder to get than the ones down in Austin.

For all intent and purposes, Austin is a California exclave at this point. We may as well call if the University of California at Austin.

If y'all think Mizzou is SJWu, then wait until you visit Austin. It'll make Mizzou look sane. UC-Austin is full of far-left liberal extremists.

90% of your fans don't have one. And those who do have one likely got theirs at Texas State. UT student support isn't the same it once was. Liberals don't usually like football since y'all find masculinity to be "toxic" .

Is this supposed to be some kind of flex by a&m?

So of the two major universities in Texas, those without a degree from either would much rather support the longhorns? Doesn't that say more about A&M than it does Texas?

This prevents Texas from being a true SEC school culturally. Too many foreigners. Massive lack of Greek life influence on the student body.

Texas is more like Stanford than it is like LSU BAMA and UGA.

Interesting as it was Stanford who blocked Utx - autism from the PAC for lower academics when they tried to join.

Sports - Stanford is better in some of the SEC sports of interest

(3) WCBB Natty's - last in 2021
(9) Volleyball Natty's - last in 2019
(1) MCBB Natty - Utx has NONE

So by this metric, Texas is better than every SEC school in baseball, and is also a better athletic program than any other SEC school currently since they have more national championships?

I mean... if national championships is the only thing that matters, I guess than means Texas is better than the rest!

Thanks for the compliment, gramps! I knew you'd come around!!!

You’re missing the whole point.
I’m saying the student body at UT Austin is night and day compared to majority of the other SEC schools. Do they even have Greek life?
