Well you're either lying about having attended school at UTA or it has been a long time since you were in school there. The city has a huge homeless problem. The campus and the surrounding neighborhoods are not immune to this issue. There was a big homeless camp close to the drag and University Co-Op that we walked by the last time we were there.

Guess they dont teach collective reasoning in Austin anymore these days.

Dont worry, youre just rattling his fragile ego that someone might choose to go to a different in state school vs his precious one in Austin, even though theres plenty of reasons.

Maybe one day he'll grow up and realize the diploma isnt all that important when it comes to the job anyways. It'll get your foot in the door somewhere, but success is based on the person and their drive/individual merits, not what some piece of paper has on it.

inb4 I'm mad I didnt get into a school I didnt apply to or want to attend.

No. I actually graduated in the spring class of 2014 and drive past the University every single day on the way to work, which is actually located downtown. And strange... I don't see any of the things you described along the way.

I'm starting to think you're lying about your kid considering it. I mean, it seems like you already have a preconceived notion despite not visiting the school, as you're lying about the geographic features.

Sorry your kid isn't smart enough. Not everybody's cut out for it

Lol when was the last time you were there? I don't see any of these things.

But what would I know, though? I only went to school there and have lived in Austin my entire life

It's literally all y'all talk about whenever Austin is a topic of discussion. Go back and look at the threads during the week we were playing Bama. It was the same thing, ad nauseam, and most of the Alabama fans were laughing at you because their experience was completely and entirely different. Maybe y'all should've focused more on your game of the year against App State instead?

The homeless encampment is in the artist market just feet away from the Drag and next door to the University Co-op, which is an area with heavy foot traffic.

quote:

Joell McNew, president of SafeHorns, a nonprofit advocating for student safety, said the encampment has been there for months and is becoming a danger to not only the students and businesses nearby but also for the people living there.

“There are used needles, used condoms; there is feces, urine, trash,” said McNew. “They are living there, and why is that OK?”

quote:

“The encampment has grown,” McNew said. “The population is much larger. It is more aggressive, and this is a huge human and public safety health crisis.”

And has since been cleaned up?

Again - what would I know. I only went to school there and pass the area literally every single day on the way to work

I was accepted into Texas. As have many of my family. I chose A&M. I’ve had immediate family living in Austin since 1955. UTx is only hard to get into if you’re a white conservative. My son was transferred to Austin, hates it. It is a liberal shithole now, no matter what you say. So Xwing keeps relating his stupidity and narcissism.

You forgot "your public stupidity noted." Aren't you the guy that leads off every post with that?

Lol and we toooooootally believe you. I mean, I bet most people would rather go to a farmersonly.com university in the middle of nowhere to receive a much lower ranked education at inferior programs.

They just must!!!

Damn dude, do you ever make a post without moving the goalposts? This discussion isn’t about what Aggies said in threads months ago. The poster (who isn’t an aggie) had a direct experience of visiting the campus multiple times and you wrote it off as some “Aggie fairytale”, stay on point, son.

Well, we all know your reason of why you didn't attend

I was pursuing an agriculture degree and hate big cities like austin, Houston, etc. Was a pretty easy choice for me.

Actually it was about how Texas a&m is easier to get into than Texas, started by a Vanderbilt fan.

A Gator fan then started talking about homeless camps? Who's the one moving the goalposts again?

His initial responses were on topic about how easy/difficult both schools are to get into, then offered up an additional story on why they werent looking to apply to Austin. You took offense and ran with it, so dont try calling out moving goalposts now. Just own your own and move on, two wrongs dont make a right. It's funny watching you squirm when pinned to something. Nothing is ever your fault and youre never wrong are you?

So... in other words... that poster was the one that moved the goalposts? But of course, it wasn't a big meanie bully sip, so that poster was obviously correct, right?

So funny coming from an aggie after being rejected by Texas and then running away after 100 years of abuse from the Texas athletic department. How come y'all can't "own your own"?

Aggie education confirmed. Apparently you don't have the reading comprehension to notice this from several of my last few posts:

My oldest niece just graduated from tu last fall with a double major. She had a "full-ride" Dedman scholarship (Liberal Arts) for all four years. Moved out of Austin the day she graduated and has not been back. Still has been unable to find a job. She is currently looking at A&M, SMU and Rice for grad school in the fall although she really does not want to go back to school at this time. She will not go back to tu for grad school.

Did not like Austin. She and her sister lived close enough to campus to walk to school. They would never walk alone and did not walk after dark.

Her sister transferred to UNT.

I never said they did or didn’t, just called you out on it. But I can see you’ll just continue deflecting and convincing yourself youre always right so there’s not much more to be said here. Maybe one day you’ll grow up, maybe one day…

He says, as he follows me to yet another thread to insert himself in a conversation that has nothing to do with him.

Relax, fossil. No need to get upset for somebody pointing out you don't have a life.
