The SEC won’t just add in Clemson or Florida State and keep going. Kicking LSU out and them joining the Big 12 or Big Ten (EDIT: or going independent) would dramatically alter the landscape of college football and would set off a series of dominoes that could cause the SEC to implode.

You remove a founding member, one of the Big 6, and a top 10 program in college football for a snarky halftime comment, then the basis of your conference is all about bowing the knee and kissing the ring of whomever pretends to wear it. That won’t last long.

Sankey should proceed with caution. He’s pulling a thread that once it comes undone, cannot be mended.

If LSU gets kicked, there is no way in fricking hell they join either

They will be independent like Notre Dame. No point in reading past this sentence if you believe that.

Take this to the Big 12 board. This board is meant for SEC programs.

LSU won't join the Big Ten. They don't have the academics. The Big Ten is a very different academic profile from the SEC. They care about academics.

LSU fans here were mocking the SEC just 10 days ago. Arguing they had no power. Daring them to try to do something. The SEC accepted LSU’s challenge.

The rest of the conference seems pretty unified.

Notice how this shite isn't happening in the big ten. You think the big ten would touch lsu if they get kicked out of the big ten? Even ignoring academics, they wouldn't even answer the phone if lsu called

LSU is SEC and they aren't going anywhere. They make too much money. Om on the other hand is a little sister school hanging on the coattails of the more prominent programs. LSU is in the more prominent section.

Expelled or not, the University and Lane Kiffin are going to face a federal court of their own. And many bad things will now portend the future. Tell me again how that juice was ever worth the squeeze?

No. It would just be very sad for both the conference and LSU.

Ultimately its about schools, coaches, and administrators who can see the whole picture, and those who can't.

CFB as a product is being eroded and there is nothing the SEC or BIG10 can really do about it as long as its coming from on high from a federal court.

But when the calls start coming from inside the house you have to shut that shite down with a quickness.

How much can CFB keep pushing before people meaningfully tune out? The major players don't want to find out. A game without integrity is just a show and people don't show up in school colors and spend their money for the fricking theater kids putting on a play.

Every school in the SEC is R1. LSU is not special.

You're right. They'll add Notre Dame instead and make even more money.
