Good luck to Bond. Hope he and all these kids getting money have someone they can trust and advise how to manage their new found wealth.

I ask you, what if NFL fans let’s say the Steeler fans decided to form a collective. Let’s say they raised $10 million.
Let’s say they offered CJ Stroud a check for $10 mil to leave Houston.

Wait, can’t happen because the NFL has rules

We need rules. This is destroying the college game.

Thanks Isiah for catching that ball.

You know how to make friends pal. What you drinking? You just lost all your credibility with this statement. I’m sure the real Texas fans who actually graduated from UT do not feel this way.

You’re an embarrassment.

While I do agree with you, I feel like a player should be allowed to make a change if a coach leaves. Imo, this situation should be allowed even with rules in place.

Imo, this isn’t what is wrong with college football. It’s the guys that leave without a coaching change..

This sport is no longer amateur ..... it's now a business and we, as fans, have no one to blame but ourselves.

Happy for him. Is what it is and everyone is going to have to deal with this because it’s basically free agency out there right now.

Not having Milroe as your QB is a business decision.

He basically admitted that to increase his draft stock. Not having a RB as your QB probably helps.

Oh boy. I know it is upsetting to you, but I did graduate from The university of Texas at Austin. We are all anonymous here. You may not believe me. I don't care.

Funny thing, no one accuses Bama supporters of not having graduated from that university. Figure out that conundrum and you will likely feel even worse.

Literally no one, ever, anywhere, has said these kids came to Saban’s Alabama for the academics, you unbelievably dumb frick. Jesus Christ what did I just read?

That being said, I wish Bond well. He’s a good kid and primed to be a baller….he could have been utilized so much more. Hate it for the sport, but I can’t blame him.

Bond was 100% loyal to Saban.

Saban is his coach tomorrow, he plays for Bama.

Bond had all the time in the world to shop opportunities without entering the portal. If he was disappointed with the direction of the team under Saban he could have hit the exit button and been gone by Jan 2nd.

Bond chose to stay with Saban. Saban left him.

This isn’t about money. It’s about uncertainty.

There is uncertainty at Bama.

I agree with you! Tuscaloosa isn't the middle of nowhere ... It's about 50 miles from Birmingham and 30 miles from Eutaw!

NIL MONEY.

I'm sure NIL helped, but lets get real:

1. GOAT Saban retired.
2. BAMA WR coach left.
3. Texas has a QB that can consistently pass and not just hope the deep ball comes open.

The business decision, if you read the entire quote, had to do with him trying to up his spot in the NFL draft. He thinks playing in Sark’s offense will improve his stats resulting in a higher draft pick for him.
