Raymond James Stadium is almost a carbon copy of Nissan Stadium.

So you just don't like the looks of the stadium???

I wouldn't mind either expect Nashville weather is not suitable.

Raymond James did some pretty big upgrades a few years ago.
When we went in 2017 it was clearly improved. Not great, but improved.

Honestly I don't think the Stadium really matters all that much. The weather and metro area are the much bigger deal.

I went to the Alabama/Va Tech Music City Bowl in the 90's...Never again, it was around 35 degrees and raining, about as miserable as you can get for a football game

Psssssh, Western Idaho doesn't deal with the harsh weather conditions of a Northeast Tennessee fall and winter.

Pathetic!

That's about it. All of those are fairly easy to get to, and have adequate stadiums to host it.

6 of every 10 title games would be played outside of the Eastern time zone. that's more than fair to those who want to scream East coast bias

From a destination standpoint, cross off Dallas, Atlanta and Indianapolis. Great steakhouses should not be a criteria.

Neat.

They also do playoff games in those environments.

And from the results of those easy to tell neither was playoff worthy.

Yeah, at one of the home stadiums, so you already have a built in crowd. Now move it to where fans of both teams have to travel 1000 miles and pay for travel/lodging with the potential to sit in shitty weather. That's not good for ticket sales

Totally. I'm sure Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame, USC, etc. are ever going to have problems selling tickets.

Alabama is starting to for postseason games, now add in outdoor stadiums in cold weather sites and it will be harder to sell

Isn't done by a bidding process?

It's absolutely "fair" to have a game in Chicago or Wisconsin.

As people have said for ages, it's fine to do playoff games in the freezing cold in the NFL outdoors but not college games?

If the national title game was closer to New Years I would have a bit more understand for southern cities. With it now being a week past New Years most people aren't going there for a destination; they are going for the game
