It’ll be like the Indiana game.

Miami and Indiana don't play their DL in the same way at all. Indiana lives off of stunts and twists. Miami says our guys are better than your guys and plays straight up. That helps OSU IMO. OSU has shown they really have problems with the smaller shifty DLs like Wisky and Indiana. They handled Colin Simmons without any issues and did fine against PSU's and Michigan's DL which are very talented as well.

I think if OSU/UGA play that will be interesting because Smart will use stunts with talent.
So where are we as a message board on if bowl games other than the CFP serve as a predictive measure of how good a conference is?

Are we at like a zero out of ten? or does it still matter a bit? I think I'm at like a 6. It still matters but it doesn't matter like it did pre NIL and all the transfers/coaching changes happening all the time

I think it was Mateer failing to run for the easy 1st down on the drive

you mean when Mateer made a very good throw on the run and if his WR made a routine catch it was a TD?

He is a very good player for sure. But I feel like there is a little wall right in front of him that he is not busting through

I think he may just end up being a good starter in the NFL. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. And he may end up winning a Super Bowl as a good starter. Worse starters than him have made deep runs

He's also 24. So he may need 2-3 more years to reach his "prime" then be a top 10 QB from 27-35 which I don't think would be that surprising either.

To me the goal of the 12 team system was to make sure a 2 loss team who had tough road losses but could be the best team on a neutral field had a shot to win it all

They have accomplished that for the most part. Do you think there is a team who isn't in the playoffs who is the best team in the country? If you think ND, I guess you can try and argue that but they lost twice once at home so I disqualify that.

The quarterfinal games are pretty good in name at the very least. They already fixed us having Arizona St. and Boise. St level teams in the quarters. They need to keep fixing problems but the goal is to have the best team in the playoff and they have accomplished that both years thus far

NFL receivers ever

Manning had Marvin Harrison Sr. and Reggie Wayne

What are we even doing here

The first drive it looks like they are toying with a JV team..

JMU has answered at the least by spending 6 minutes of the clock and inside Oregon's territory
There's always a chance they pull off an upset but not a good shot

Oregon could fumble 4 times inside the 20 or throw 3 INTs in the first quarter and give up 20 points early and be down big.

More likely to be 56-10 than 28-27

considering a lot of the regular season became meaningless.

This is completely false.

Tell me all the regular season games that are more meaningless now than before the 12 team playoff.

Expanding the field by definition means more games matter because more teams get in. Not every game has the same importance, but overall dozens of more games matter

If they somehow win the national title, it will potentially be history forever. Fewest games as a HC to win a national title. 4 is gonna be tough to beat forever. Only thing I can think of is a tragedy hits during the playoffs so a new coach has to be installed but that may still be interim

look like a different squad in sec championship game

They also looked like a terribly pedestrian team against GT the weekend before.

You gotta battle through bad games sometimes.

How many playoff games has Sayin played?

He actually played against Tennessee last year

So congrats, they have played in the same number of playoff games
Beck has played in one playoff game…today.

OSU has at least 15 guys who played in the playoffs last season.

I think Miamis D line will cause problems but OSUs short passing game outside of Indiana has been really good. Think that game was odd all around for a variety of reasons (including that Indiana played very well)

I went to law school at Miami and they legit do.

It’s a strange obsession after 20+ years
No matter what I think about Miami's front 4 which is very good, I'm trusting OSU's offense more than Miami's with Beck at QB

8.5 I think was the hypothetical before the game today
We shall see. OSU needs to turn up the gears they used all year
I think if A&M won there would have been a number of posts about how SEC teams know how to win games like that etc etc etc

Miami has no one to blame if they piss this away. TAMU has been a literal no show today.

The play calling has been horrible for both teams. Miami's has been worse. They get a drive going, then run a double reverse or have a true freshman lined up as QB running instead of using their 230 lbs RB who has been great all day

Classic case of outthinking yourself
Why hasn't A&M run like one speed option? Reed isn't accurate when the weather is good

Hard to tell. Don’t think there’s enough to overturn the call on the field.
