When you're talking about the liberal media, The Advocate is the personification of that dynamic. Its owner is a former Democratic candidate for governor & has turned the paper into a New York Times wannabe. It has zero credibility.

If he was convicted of a crime I would have an issue with it. But the charges were dropped

They're not wrong but there is pretty much 0 integrity in major college sports across the board.

Not reading that, but hiring two coaches employed by other well known universities is a bad thing?

Hey Kentucky fan if LSU is desperate what are you cats fans, you have to live with Pope who you don’t like.If you could have poached Petino,Oats,Pearle you would have jumped at the chance.Yet all you do is criticize other programs for trying to hire the best coach they can .what you are is a hipocrite looking to disparage others to make yourself feel good about your inability to get a good hire.

Is the Advocate the Louisiana version of AL.com? I need to know to what degree to dismiss any drivel it puts out, if it is.

That paper would really love Mitch Barnhart’s golden parachute of $ 950 k per year for an undefined position. Not approved by the Board of Trustees but given without discussion by the President of the University.

I congratulate LSU. At least they know what position they are filling.

Ah, S is here...delivering another take so off-base it should come with its own spray chart. Truly remarkable consistency.

I'm old...

Yeah, the Advocate is the premier newspaper in Baton Rouge. I used to subscribe, and my parents used to before then.

I have a framed full front page from 2019 (really 2020), from when LSU with Joe Burrow won the national title. For those who like to do such things, the Advocate was the paper you'd do that with for LSU. The company at one time was owned by the Manships, ... LSU has the Manship School of Mass Communication (Journalism). The Manships also owned WBRZ, which at the time was the premier TV station. They bought the Times Picayune in New Orleans, too.

That 2020 paper was probably the last time I bought a newspaper, and I'm not sure how long before then, that I previously bought one. Newspapers are dead, sadly. I saw one in a gas station recently, glanced at it... much smaller paper dimensions, poorer quality paper. I get my news, like everyone else, online, and on the TV and radio.

I’ve never seen an ole Miss fan say a thing about golden like that

It’s mostly Aggy, Bama, and Arkansas fans who say that shite

That poster likes to build strawman arguments and will then accuse random folks of saying XYZ.

He did it on his MetroAtlantaGatorFan account for years.

He will make some outlandish statement then if you disagree, he will say "That isn't what you said when it was (insert Florida player/coach here)," even if you personally never commented on that particular situation.

It's very odd.
