We did Bucc-ees Christmas one year. Everything you got had to come from bucc-ees.
Surprising how easy/fun that was.

They have so many people working there, it’s like a well oiled machine. Guy knows how to run a business.

If this is the one on I-10 in Alabama, I have to agree. It was a nightmare trying to leave when I went once. I could easily see how people get in wrecks there.

I'm not sure it is possible to overhype this when you have little kids.

It’s a damn good brisket sammich for a gas station. Their Beef jerky is good too!

The configuration of that one sucks. Especially for that prime of a location.
Any Buc-ee’s should be on a service road like the one in Baytown, or have roundabouts to get in and out like the one in Pass Christian.
The one in Alabama has everyone trying to exit the parking lot onto a 800 ft strip of county road, controlled by a signal, to turn onto Baldwin beach expressway. It’s a shite show

Retired to Gulf Shores 5yrs ago about 6 minutes to the beach...
Wife likes to run up there ever coupla months, bout a 20 min ride. She looks around and shops and I people watch. Good times watching the tourists.

The success of Buccees comes down to clean bathrooms. The founder detrmined very early on that mothers and daughters decided where to stop and that decision was driven by the quality of the bathroom.

Yes the access to the one near Foley on I-10 was incredibly poor planned…

I like Buccee's. We stop at the one between Birmingham and Atlanta sometimes. There is normally plenty of parking and it's not insanely crowded inside. Their beef jerky is really darn good

Meh, it's marketed well and I am not disappointed with my visit there.

We go back to Atlanta to see friends and relatives about 3 times a year, never stopped at the one on 85 at Auburn. Looks like it might be a PITA to get to....

They can go, you can drive past, simple really.

We have on in Virginia; it's not on my way to work so it's rare I drive past.
The one time I did go, my wife wasn't feeling well and it was late. Most pharmacies were closed. Swung by Buc-ee's when trying damn near everywhere to find something to help.
Despite being massive, they had the same amount of space dedicated to meds as this small convenience store down the street from my house; needless to say I was not terribly impressed.

The irony is thick with this statement considering where you are.

I prefer the turkey club sandwich. The ham and cheese kolache used to be good but they stopped carrying them. Jalapeño Biscuit wrap thing with sausage is pretty good too. I avoid the one before you get to Pensacola most of the time due to the crowd. My stops have primarily been at stores in Texas so not sure if the menu they carry is the same at all.

My strategy for the Foley Buccees is simple:
Never ever ever again go on a summer Saturday. That 7-day Saturday-to-Saturday redneck Riviera vacation rental crowd makes it a minimum 50 minutes to get in and out, even if you never get out of your car. Insane.
Any other day? Sure, pop in for a brisket taco and a pee.
