Here are the highlights….nearly every SEC school was repped in the store….most folks in there just seemed to walk around in a daze, shocked at all the activity…..saw 2 wrecks in the parking lot….got a breakfast taco…..I posted this so all of you could jump in and talk about how you would never stop at Buc-ee’s. Go.

Their restrooms are great. Other than that, it’s a damn gas station. It’s insanely overhyped

Too long to get in and out on the road. Only useful if you’re hungry for brisket.

The best locations are the ones in the small towns that are the size of an actual gas station and aren't infested with people.
Brisket sandwiches and beef jerky for the road

Finding parking or fighting for a spot at the pump, navigating the horde of people... damn. I'm still stopping for that habanero beef jerky though

Destin is an SEC destination. Everyone reps their team on the beach with their hats, coolers and whatnot. Lots of Ole Miss, State, LSU, Alabama and Arkansas folks.
I practically lived there in my summers and always hung out around Silver Dunes back in its heyday. Then a lot of the Memphis crowd moved east down 30A. I remember the Back Porch when it was a shack.

I’m a supporter. They had everything needed for the kiddos and myself, plus clean bathrooms. Gas is optional.
It’s a reliable spot, not an amusement park. But it can feel like one in the beginning…
They have so many people working there, it’s like a well oiled machine. Guy knows how to run a business.

I think Bucee's is awesome. I have two near my home. We go there at least once a month. Their fuel prices are usually one of the lowest around. They have a good price on deer corn as well.

Get your gas at Pilot and support Tennessee NIL

We used to be a proper country; now we get overly excited for gas stations.

A few years back, leaving the panhandle, we got stuck in a traffic jam on the Interstate. After 45 minutes of inching forward, we came to realize that the traffic jam was due to them just opening that Bucees.

the problem with that Buccee's is every beach goer has to stop and it's out of control
I stopped at that one all of one time and will never stop again
the Gulfport Miss one is much easier to get in and out of

The Foley location has trouble with tourists from Louisiana trying to spend their vacation in the bathrooms because they are so much nicer than anything they have ever experienced.

I am always worried about getting mugged by a Tennessee Football player when I go there. Do they still wear their jerseys when they rob a Pilot store or has the athletic department been able to solve that problem?
