Has UGA officially passed Tennessee as the #2 SEC program all-time?

Bama is #1 all-time in the SEC and nobody is arguing that.
Historically, #2 was always Tennessee. But over the last 25 years, it feels like Georgia (and honestly maybe LSU too) has completely jumped them.
I checked Winsipedia to see how the numbers actually look side-by-side now: LINK
Unless you're clinging strictly to claimed titles from before 50s, Georgia pretty much leads across the board now. And if you want to argue peak rings this century, LSU has three titles with three different head coaches, which also hurts UT's case.
Not trying to troll UT at all here.

I think most people trying to be objective would say if you are breaking SEC teams into tiers, Bama is in a tier of their own and while the rest of the big 6 were in a tier together, UGA is starting to distance themselves from the pack and have their own separate tier between Bama and the others (UT, LSU, Auburn and Florida)

That happened like 10 years ago.

In all seriousness, I think the Winsipedia stats undervalue the contributions Neyland gave to college football. Defensively, he was an absolute genius. Neyland's Maxims should be foundational for every football coach at every level, from peewee to the NFL. Vanderbilt was the football power in the state before Neyland.
The 1939 Tennessee team held every regular season opponent scoreless.
We can obviously only speculate what more he could have achieved if his military time never occurred.
Neyland, along with John Heisman, Wallace Wade, Dana Bible, Dan McGugin, and Frank Thomas helped build southern college football. Bear Bryant would not have achieved what he achieved without those men.

It wasn't that long ago UT had more wins

UGA and Tenn were both passed when blowU and Texas joined the SEC.
blowU - seven national titles
Texas - four national titles
UGA - three national titles as #2 AP finish in 1942 is BS

It took Vince Young carrying the 2005 team on his fricking back for Texas to accomplish anything in my lifetime. Auburn has accomplished as much as tu in the modern era, with much less resources.

Sweet... And Paul Brown is considered the "father of modern professional football" but everyone knows the Browns are the laughing stock of the NFL.
If Tennessee is considered the second best football team in SEC history that's honestly pretty embarrassing.

0-3 against UGA since joining…

Are you talking about all time SEC performance, or just all time team performance. If it’s team, then OU is the unquestioned #2

It's honestly amazing what a 8 year run can do.
I never considered Georgia above programs like UF, UT, AU, LSU, but in the last few years you can't argue that we aren't the second most successful program in the conference

Poor Vols are 6th in the SEC since integration.

#2 is definitely Oklahoma now

It’s 0-4 against UGA since joining if he wants to toss in blowU

As painful as it is to admit, yes UGA probably has passed and moved to second place now. Kirby is the differentiator
Realistically the tiers are
Tier 1: Bama
Tier 2: UGA, Tenn, LSU
Tier 3: Auburn and Florida
If Ole Miss wins another SEC title or plays for the national title, then they move into Tier 3

LSU is a much more accomplished program compared to Tennessee.
Oklahoma and Texas are also way ahead granted they've only been in the SEC for 2.5 years.
