Honestly, the only thing I took from that article is that it sounds like he's actually doing better than I expected so far.

Arch will need an adjustment period. He has been playing against what is essentially middle school level competition. I would not be surprised if he ends up a bust.

No….you’re the absolute idiot for this statement.

Cutcliff set Ole Miss back a decade by not recruiting worth an actual shite Eli’s last two seasons. And then he refused to make changes at the assistant level to help make up for him not being able to recruit. The only person responsible for him being fired is himself.

Congrats. Now you have the most dipshit post of the month.

Probably no connection to the OP's post, but AM was only second string All State, in La.'s lowest high school classification, his senior year. And that classification is extremely weak. As much as I don't like the Mannings, they all have had above average talent & this kid should develop into a starting QB at some point in time.

Not a fan of them either. Good luck to him, I don’t see it, but I’m not a qb scout.

If he never takes a snap at Texas, he'd have been worth it for the recruiting class he helped solidify.

He’s not good at all and got offers because of his last name. I feel bad for him because I’m sure he knows it

Hilariously wrong. Cut refused to recruit and fire staff that clearly needed to be fired. Eli covered up a lot of his shortcomings as a coach at Ole Miss. We had something like 18 or 19 starters back in 2004 from the 10-3 team the year before and only won 4 games.
Anyone that thinks he shouldn’t have been fired doesn’t know what they’re talking about.

After the firing of City, we were back in the Cotton Bowl as SECW runner ups in 4 years, which was equal to the peak of the cut years, and our 2008 team was light years ahead of 2003 in overall talent. So to say it set us back a decade is horribly disingenuous.

In 2000, Ro, with all due respect, couldn’t move the ball against a 3-8 Alabama team, LSU, VANDERBILT, and a 7/5 UGA team. He threw away the Auburn game as well in a game that was kept close only bc of Deuce McAlister punt return. Eli looked good in his limited outings in 2000, really shining in the bowl game.

I’ll cede ‘99, but in 2000, by the 3rd quarter of the LSU game at the latest he should’ve been given a shot.

Following the Walker Howard playbook. He'll be at Ole Miss in a couple of years.

Anyone expecting a true freshman to come in and roll over all the other QBs is fricking idiot.

Murphy was a 5 star at least at one time. A high 4 star with a year of experience in college vs a true freshman who played against apparently meh competition in high school. This is not shocking whatsoever.

Who will make more money on the bench: Manning as a freshman QB at Texas? Or Stetson Bennett as a rookie clip-board holder QB in the league?
