I was told Arch would break Tom Brady's career numbers in his first college game.

Ewers ahead of him is the guy who got #1MM from Ohio State before he took a snap, then came back to the state of Texas.

Manning could be the best IN HIS CLASS and still noy beat out Ewers, who will probably end up being the best IN HIS CLASS.

I called him a bust for years. It's so obvious.

Fans of other schols are more obsessed with arch than we are. That's hilarious.

There would be bigger issues if a true freshman walks in and takes over. No way he is ready to be no 1.

Anyone criticizing Arch as an early entry should think about where Stetson Bennett was as a first, second, third and fourth year player.

No offense, but you don't think there is a difference in development between the #1 player overall in the country and a walk on?

I mean, your sentiment is correct, but not your example. Manning will be a very good QB. Eventually. But it will take time. The big problem is will the Manning's get antsy by his sitting the bench for awhile?

He's a freshman.

If he doesn't get any significant playing time as a sophomore.....he will prob transfer to Ole Miss.

I've been telling people since his recruitment started that Ole Miss is his backup plan. He knows no matter what he does or how bad he plays....he will always be welcomed with open arms in Oxford.

Him transferring to OM would be the equivalent of Harry Potter showing up at Hogwarts.

It’s just the Manning mystique. Hope the kid just does his own thing and doesn’t put too much on himself.

Should a TFr #1 overall player beat out a 3rd year #1 Overall player within the 4th practice?

Ewers may pan out as a great one, but he really regressed as the season went on.

Part of that could have been Xavier Worthy haha clowning him with so many wide open TD drops through the year. The last five games of the season were pretty bad though.

Maybe just a youth thing. He skipped his senior season of football and then did not see any action at Ohio State.

I don't think Texas registers much in fans minds. They were just the place willing to pay the most and cut the most customized deal for the kid.

Most folk are probably laughing at the media and On3 for pretending the kid is truly a rare prospect when in reality he is rather unproven.

So did Sark. So did the shorthorns. They all get one more season together to redeem themselves in the mighty big 12.
