Personally, I hope y'all fire him. Would be nice to have you back in the basement where you've been as a program other than about 10-15 years of your existence (sll under him).

Can we all just go ahead and acknowledge that anyone in the "Fire Bianco" Crowd is just a complete moron at this point?
So MW went with Peterson. Interesting. He already threw about 60 pitches already this weekend, right?

Sorry your team sucked.
Dang. Troy? Did NOT see that coming. That sucks.

Aaron Fitt is a national baseball writer for D1Baseball, you idiot. He has no affiliation to UGA other than covering the game for D1 last night.

I know who he is, you idiot. Unlike you, I've been following college baseball for longer than one season. Congrats that your team is good this one year. Wow, we're all super impressed.

AF has been pumping Georgia all year. He has a vested interest in "being right" at the very least, but he has seemed to be a homer all year. Now, he just "happens" to be at the Athens regional? hmmmm

Wow, Georgia super fan takes Georgia's side. Big shocker there. :rotflmao:

Trust me - WE ARE ALL MISSISSIPPI STATE FANS THIS WEEKEND!

Coming from Ole Miss that's rich, everyone associated with your program is white trash.

While this is true, what he said about Georgia's baseball program is also true. They're not mutually exclusive.
Yes, now that Vanderbilt lost their ability to cheat, they're just another also-ran. Good to see.
I got curious and looked at MW's situation. While they've done well managing their pitching so far, they just aren't very deep there (surprise, surprise for a 4 seed with a losing record).

It looks like they will either have to bring someone back who's already thrown around 60 pitches this weekend, or they'll have to start Fishnick or Vander Loop.

Fishnick would be my guess. He has 35.2 IP on the year, but only 1 start. ERA is respectable at 4.54 and his WHIP is 1.54. He's mostly been a 1 or 2 inning guy though, with only 2 outings 3.0 IP or more (season best is 4.2). Could be your opener.

If they go with Vander Loop, you guys better build a big lead before they can get him out. He's got a 9.71 ERA and a 1.96 WHIP on 29.2 IP. His last 4 outings have combined for 15 IP, but he's given up 16 runs in that same stretch.

Good luck.

Good luck with that.

Sorry, but GT has gotta be the favorite to win it all at this point.

Crashing out on what you thought was a bad call down 5-1 late in an elimination game would be pretty bad. Doing it as the best player on your team while up 5-1 in an elimination game is pure idiocy.

They have a nice stadium too with what seems like a supportive fanbase. It makes no sense to me

Maybe he's just not the great coach you make him out to be? You want the only coach who's ever won a title in any sport at OM fired so you can hire a guy who's never made it to Omaha. Maybe you're just not the sport savant you believe yourself to be.

It's funny how they have a reputation of being some great hitting team. All they really do is stand there and walk.

Gaeckle sucks. I hated to see we were starting him today. Ready for him to be gone.

Mercer would have won by more.

Nice win.
