....had we been given the chance by what we now know to be a corrupt CFPC.

Should’ve run the ball less and blitzed more. Would’ve beat Bama by 2 scores with that recipe.

Send emails to your athletic department. Stop wasting everyone’s time here crying about it.

The SEC champion that finished 12-2, beat Georgia and took the national champion to OT is "mediocre"?

Damn, tough crowd in here this morning

All you had to do was beat the team that lost to Michigan and you couldn’t do it.

So… basically stfu.

Did finish as the top ranked SEC team this season. Just like the last two. But due to a slip up didn't get a chance for a 3rd straight title.

shite happens.

UGA really does want to be Bama. Already trying to figure out how to claim the championship that got away.

Should we all congratulate you on the 3peat?

So both Georgia and aggy are undefeated in games that are never played. Good to know.

Yes, UGA had a poor game in the SECCG. Lost to a team that finished the season ranked behind them.

Sometimes you have an off day and lose to an inferior team. That's what the AP pollsters ended up thinking at least.

It certainly would’ve been a more competitive game than Michigan versus a team that never played a good defense

If winning the SEC and beating every SEC oppponent and making a playoff appearance is "mediocre" then I'll take it.

But I've always pictured it differently. Come to think of it, Kentucky Football probably represents "medocrity" better than just about any other SEC team I can think of.

You guys lost to Michigan. It's the definition of mediocre.

Overall on this topic, you can't say for certain what would happen with a UGA vs Michigan match up.

But you can look at it as a potential game and say UGA's balanced offense likely would have caused more problems for Michigan than Bama's run-focused offense. Similarly UGA's largest defensive weakness (mobile QB's) would not have been exposed against against Michigan at all.

It's reasonable to think UGA likely would have beaten Michigan. Of the 4 playoff teams they were probably the BEST matchup for UGA. The worst... is probably Bama.

The matchups matter. It's why you have situations where team A beats team B who beats team C who beats team A. It's why the transitive property often doesn't hold.

You lost to Alabama and thus lost your shot. Then shortly after Alabama lost to Michigan.

Get over yourselves, you blew your chance.

Georgia was easily the best team in the country, but you lost to a RB masquerading as a QB in the SECCG.

Be better next year.
