I haven’t listened to the Finebaum show in 15 years. Good to know Legend is still ratfricking insane.

I think there was an interview I wanted to hear with Stallings or something before the A&M game years ago while I was driving in for a game weekend so I listened to an hour of that show.
I’ve never been so embarrassed in my life for the entire state of Alabama as I was listening to the people who were calling in.
I’m not sure if it’s supposed to make people feel better about themselves or if it was intended to be entertaining somehow but I couldn’t understand the appeal at all.

Most of those callers are paid and they’re fake. An Auburn guy did one of the Bama fans in the past. He had fun doing it and got paid. Same as Jerry Springer.

This. That is basically what the Finebaum show is.

I mean ok, I’m sure that’s true.
My point remains that a whole hell of a lot of people were listening to whatever male soap opera Finebaum was producing.

It is absolutely true. I'm ashamed to admit that as a much younger man I actually tried to call in to the show once. No chance. But the same few assholes get on there every day at around the same time. It's almost entirely scripted. On the rare occasion that a caller gets through with a legitimate question about football he doesn't know whether to shite or go blind. And then probably fires the poor bastard who put them through.

Sadly legend represents more of that state than any of yall would be comfortable. They just have a weird complex of always being assholes. I think that happens when you come from a dirt poor state will to show other than a collegiate football team. Kind of sad really.

A State isn’t another land. State lines are imaginary. People in Louisiana and Mississippi and Georgia and Florida and Tennessee and Arkansas who listen to this Bozo’s show are all the same. It isn’t just a state.

Watching finebaum is like watching porn. I feel guilty about it afterwards but I still do it.

I’ve never listened to him; I have never understood the appeal nor the obsession.

Alabama has much to be embarrassed about. Hell, you're about to elect Tommy Dumberville as your state's next governor.

And yet every Alabama fan I’ve ever met and anywhere in the world would represent quite different than your opinion. It’s a poor state with very little to offer outside of their collegiate sports and the rocket lab in Huntsville. And the rocket lab had nothing to do with the state’s offerings. The amount of assholes who simply must interject “roll tide” at the very sight of an opposing team’s shirt or colors is both sad and indicative of a massive inferiority complex. They know their state is poor and lacking of any cultural relevance so they simply must open their gaping gump mouths and spew their hot mess anywhere and everywhere they go.

Maybe it's just you that's the a-hole. I've lived in Alabama for a good chunk of my life and I rarely, if ever have any issues with people. 99 percent of the people I meet are pleasant.
