Haiti pressing HARD
Haiti playing a bit of boom ball the last few.
Gonna be a lot of turnover in their governing body this go around.

Way too many European teams in The World Cup. Minnows and Minnows galore in qualifying.
Which makes it even funnier that Italy has missed yet another cycle.
Good crosses but no one ever on the back post.

Yes. Celebrating Dos a Cero at 4:30am is a core memory lol.

When Scotland wanted to actually play they were playing Haiti off the park. Can't let these shite teams stay in it. See Qatar
I dunno Haiti is out athleting them and just hasn’t found a finish yet. They’ve broken down Scotland several times. If this keeps up I’ll expect the equalizer pretty soon.
Switzerland’s lack of finishing today was shocking. 26 shots and their only goal came on a questionably awarded penalty.
I survived Korea 2002 an 11PM kick is child’s play lol.
Plus it’s our group.

This game should get pretty chippy soon
Ref will have to quit calling it like a friendly and get that yellow out of his pocket or it’ll get out of hand fast.
Scotland getting away with a lot of grabbing right now.

Haiti fell behind and said frick it we're playing rugby now.
Helps that half their team are built like the New Zealand National Rugby team.

Haiti is playing beautifully
They’re also going full CONCACAF. Very physical on their part.

Is it just me or so the ad breaks seem shorter today than they did yesterday? Wonder if the outrage got to the networks.

Not 100% sure the technicality of it, but I think if the initial shot is on goal regardless of deflection it's not classified an OG.
You got it. That’s exactly the rule.
Brazil just looks uninspired as frick under Ancelotti.

Swiss haven’t been the same since Shaqiri hung them up. Outside of Embolo they’re the pits offensively.

Qatar has been sneaky decent for a little while now. Remember when they came to the Gold Cup a few years back and made the semis.
Taking a point there is absolutely a coup for the Qataris though.

Because mainstream sports media tried to force women’s soccer down our throats for the past 20+ years and when the USMNT has its biggest win in a decade - folks like Rapinoe, Wambach, etc., who are always very active on Social Media, can’t take two seconds to give the Men a hat tip.
I personally love women’s soccer. The US women are extremely fun to watch.
I didn’t need it forced upon me to enjoy it.

History will look favorably upon Klinsmann, imo. Terrible game day coach, but one thing you can say about Klinsmann is that he definitely put us on the right track with regard to talent evaluation and player development. We had a few guys overseas before him but he really ramped it up.
Ultimately he did fail from a coaching standpoint (which chased us back to the comfort of Bruce Arena in that disaster of a cycle), but Klinsmann got the infrastructure rolling like no one else ever has, and I hope history looks back on him favorably for that.

Aussie is our big threat in the group, and we’re better than them.
