I love how useless Paino has been. 0-3 with three Ks. AB four grounds into a double play. Incredibly useless.

Governor’s cup is an interesting game.
We don’t have a midweek game and I don’t know what to do with my hands.

I know we play an extra with Bama sometimes, do we ever midweek a Georgia game?
Don’t recall ever having a midweek with UGA no.
EDIT: and generally the extra with Bama will be a neutral site game I think.

The problem in today's sports betting is prop bets. You can throw those bets without impacting game outcomes.
That’s what Jontay Porter got caught doing.
And even if the effect isn’t obvious that little stuff can add up.

Some interesting info on James Spann’s views per Wikipedia. “In January 2007, Spann gained notoriety as a climate change denier. He asserts that climate change is naturally caused, as part of the climate's cyclical nature.” Funny how they use the term “climate change denier” like it is blasphemy. And from the same article, “Spann was countering a statement made by Heidi Cullen, a staff meteorologist with The Weather Channel, who had written that those who disagreed with the view that global warming was caused by man-made events should not be given the Seal of Approval by the American Meteorological Society.” In other words, disagree with me and your Seal of Approval should be removed. LOL
I don’t agree with his views on climate change but he’s not a research meteorologist or climatologist and I don’t really care. He’s a good broadcast meteorologist. Good enough for me
It was this tornado in fact. I was working in Northport that morning and outran it back up I59. About ten minutes after I got home to Trussville the polygon overlayed us and the sirens went off.

Pretty sure Spann's house got some tornado damage several yrs ago from one that went up 119 to Double Oak Mtn.
It did. Tornado hit the Eagle Point neighborhood while he was broadcasting. Same storm set off the sirens at my house.

Yeah the bike helmets come out on severe weather days here now.
Also Spann’s greatest attribute is his knowledge of landmarks all across Alabama. He famously even once used a trashy walker county strip club to warn people because it was the only landmark in the area.

I like that. Really shows how well NWS warns with events like this. A lot of time there the red polygon is on the screen well before touchdown and for a short time after dissipation, meaning those were radar indicated warnings. They are seeing tight rotation and warn for it before a tornado is confirmed on the ground.

I mean, maybe, but Tennessee has the head-to-head. Wins should matter, plus RPI is going to change so much before the postseason that it doesn't make sense to project using it. Guess it doesnt matter too much
Pretty much every other metric is secondary to RPI. If the season ended right now Bama is hosting and Tennessee is traveling.

It was a strange day. It was a constant stream of tornadoes. I drove home from Southside through a nasty storm and get home to see an EF4 going right through the heart of Tuscaloosa.
Warren Nolan’s predictives have us going 4-5 and finishing 5th in RPI. i.e. we should expect to host unless something absolutely catastrophic happens.

I blame Jang.
Also it would be 95% me.
Still well in line for a super.
We are absolutely crushing the ball right now and I’m loving it. The power in the lineup is finally starting to show up.
