I mean, really. What a crap show this playoff is. Boise, Az St, SMU, Penn St., Clemson, Indiana?.....

Tennessee.. maybe.. would be considered kinda legit with the path they have. But the rest... nah.

2020 may have been shortened, but at least Bama beat the snot out of 12 of 14 SEC teams, and ND and Ohio st.

This whole season has been a disaster and yeah, including the UT and Vandy game.

Did they? It seems like they're pawning it off on people who didn't vote for it.

Looking up their election results, they voted over 60% for Biden in that "conservative" little town.

I mean, I get a little their confusion. However.....

A large number of players across the country have had it to date. From all of those that tested positive, how many were hospitalized? How many had serious health problems from it? Seems funny there is little to no info to those questions.

Now, how many players just last year had season ending injuries? How many had career ending injuries? How many missed games due to other health issues, such as the flu and the like? A great many did. Yet no call to end the football season.

How many have actually died in plane crashes, or support personnel in plane crashes or other means of travel? Yet all forms of travel are still utilized today.

It's ridiculous the fear mongering that has been associated with this virus when there is practically nothing more being said other than... SO AND SO TESTED POSITIVE! Ok, so what. Never a follow up that it was lethal to them or detrimental to that young person.

Protect the elderly. Protect those with health issues that are susceptible to any type of added illnesses and let everyone else get on with life. Including sports.

rown, who served as mayor from 1996 to 2004, has said he briefly dated Harris while she was an Alameda County, Calif., deputy district attorney. As Speaker of the California Assembly, he later appointed her to positions on the state Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board and the California Medical Assistance Commission.

Ah.

I drive the roads every day.
I've flown before.
I work in the inner city at times.
Rode dirt bikes wrecklessly when I was younger.
Have gone swimming without a life jacket, as well as rode in a boat without one.
Married once.

That enough or need more examples?

Why?

The saying is a loose quote by Marcus Aurelius and an attitude folks should try to live by, imo. Life involves risk sometimes, and sometimes calculated risks need to be taken, while at other times not so calculated risks should be.

If football is shut down, then just shut down the entire college, because they can't guarantee social distancing of students from other students. Then the State can save the money of paying professors, teachers and all related personnel currently employed. If shutting down sports and businesses are good enough, then shutting down colleges completely should be a small sacrifice for everyone as well.
It has blown out of proportion, because people are stupid in group think. So many questions aren't answered, or even asked.

What is the recovery rate?
What is the recovery rate for each age group?
What is the hospitalization rate for each age group infected?
What are the exact criteria to determine the deaths attributed to covid?
Are those criteria applied universally to every state, county and city in the U.S.?

I would be willing to place a monetary bet that every single talking head calling for the cancellation of sports this year hasn't got a clue to the answer for any of these questions, nor do they care. Society is all about the next shiny thing to distract and this is just a mechanism to blame certain people to effect changes that some want to see. Imho of course.
In the service field. Work has increased a good bit, gas is cheaper and the roads were alot nicer to get around on as well. Overall, more $.
