Yup, they fired a really good DC for a has-been. I will never understand that decision when offense was the issue.
So, I am not sold. Predicting the SEC champ pre-season is really dumb. I would give UGA the best odds.

I know this will eventually change, but it is wild to think that no non-Big 6 school has ever won an SEC title game…34 years.

Texas was very fortunate, with the help of some dumb-arse opposing coaching, to escape 2 or 3 additional losses last year.
And niw they (finally) don't have a cakewalk schedule. I don't see them making the SEC championship.

I'm not counting any chickens before they hatch...
But after spending years of hearing about how OU and Texas weren't ready for the SEC (in any sport) it would be nice to finally not have to listen to that anymore.

There are five SEC schools with campuses that are located west of the Mississippi River.
Not one of those schools has ever won an SEC Football Championship.
