Jayden is being silly about this. He does not own the number, and Burrow won a national title on a team that many LSU FANS CALL THE GREATEST EVER.

JD5 is also requesting LSU to longer recruit players with the last name Daniels.

All of this is incorrect. Kelly used Daniels number as a recruiting tool when DJ Pickett requested to wear it before committing. Then Kelly made him wear 3 last year.

Fast forward to Lane getting to LSU and Pickett says he was promised 5 so Kiffin honors it.

I feel like the highlights should and can be used because football is a team sport and its not like Daniels was the only guy on the field. Probably no more That Kid Jayden shite tho.

It was LSU that put him on the same field as Nabors and Thomas just like LSU put Burrow on the same field as Chase and Jefferson.

Someone already said it but CFB seems to be united against this move by Jaydens team. Its a frickin headscratcher for sure.

Dumb decision by LSU. We have had three Heisman winners in our history. Those numbers should be sacred. I agree with Jayden.

Dumb. Schools should make that call on their own. USC players can't use 3, 5, 11, 12, 13, 20, 32, 33. That's a lot. Notre Dame and Oklahoma have 7 each and none are retired.

I do think if they win a Heisman AND a title (while being a major contributor) they should have number retired. But again, should be up to each school. That would lower USCs from 8 to 5 FWIW, still a lot.
