Lachenmayer: 2 IP, 0 runs

I’ll always celebrate Lach.

But he did walk 2, hit 1 and threw a wild pitch.
You don’t think Ryan would have stayed to play 2B for a year then slide over to SS?

Jay told him we’d portal a couple infielders and let them all compete for 2B and 3B. Right or wrong, Jay’s recent comments about developing guys in the program tells me he wouldn’t make the same decision this year.

They tried to retool Simpson’s swing and it didn’t work. He came in a productive college hitter. Run him out there and see if it’ll work in the SEC. That’s what UGA does. I think frustration on both sides has led to what’s become of Simpson’s year with LSU.

Braun has covered up how much of a miss Yorke was. Caraway was always going to be a project, but they really thought Yorke would hit 4th every game and be an All SEC guy.
He leaned too hard into transfer this year. He tried to trade up at 2B, 1B, 3B and struck out. Meanwhile the guys he let walk are performing well for someone else.

Retention is tough when you have a season like this, but that has to be the priority for the staff. The young guys can play.

We still need to portal the left side of the infield for next year.

It looks like we showed up to play games with no practice. Not sure how else to describe it.

Did they try to bunt Patrick?
Last year’s team leaned on transfers more than this year’s team.

Why do you let what LSU’s football coach says on social media offend you?
Spend with the best and you’ll come out on top about 50% of the time.

That’s been our experience.
It is shocking how we do almost exactly what it takes to lose every game. Nothing more, nothing less.

Needless to say, we need to go find a SS for next year.

Love that Jay is committing to the freshmen.

Doing what gives us the best chance at another national championship - albeit 27 or 28.
More college baseball games are lost than won.

We are losing a bunch of them this year.

I only want to know if we are paying now for what’s coming or for what we’ve had.
Strikes have to be called strikes.

SEC has to fix this.

State can play with not much to lose, I guess.
He’ll call something crazy a strike here.

State is so used to everything being a strike for them.

Ump did this to himself.

This ump has had a dramatic impact on the outcome of this game.

It’s undeniable.
Braun! Great dig in the mud.
