Not sure how much Heupel should be blamed on this one. Coleman played for our new DC last year and had no issue. I assume the DC vouched for bringing the player to Knoxville.

This is the 3 time in 14 months we have lost a starter for off-the-field issues. Something is wrong with the are they are evaluating these guys

Josh needs to add a maxim that addresses this. That should take care of everything.

It's not the first time they've made this mistake, either. A few years ago they were desperate for a QB out of HS that had a lot of potential and they whored themselves out for Nico. Then they acted surprised that he would leave after the 2024 season even though his camp made it crystal clear from his recruitment that they only cared about money. A lot of people knew that he wouldn't finish at Tennessee when they signed him because of that, but apparently Tennessee didn't.

I think this is leaving out the part of the story that he sucked balls on the field and Tennessee wasn't going to give him a raise after that season

If he had played up to the billing I think he probably would have stayed.

Its almost as if giving a dumb 19 year old $25,000 up front just to join a team makes them lose focus and make bad decisions. Kid also sounds like a pussy.

The kid's a moron for sure, he's stepping over dollars to get to pennies but isn't smart enough to realize it.

Imagine hitting the genetic lottery but you only got $25k out of it. He could've been set for life just by showing up to practice. I wonder what other jobs he'll find that pay $25k a month

I’d say Tennessee’s new defensive coordinator from Penn State Jim knows is why he came to Tennessee. But he’s he left on medical, a concussion with dizziness. Which is fine with me don’t drag it out. They did not give him the full amount of money they promised him.

Man, Heupel either needs to hire someone to run background checks on guys they drop big bags for or he's a total moron.

Coleman's freshman DC, Jim Knowles, is now the DC at Tennessee. Who would know more about a kid's character and potential than his most recent coach? He seemed like a sure bet with Knowles vouching for him. Apparently, he's changed, but maybe it's due to the injury last year.
