The Bear also made several good defensive plays. Besides 3(?) unassisted groundouts that he registered he also made a pivotal play in the 9th. Evans induced a comeback to the mound with 1 out & a runner on 1st & he almost threw that ball away. Jared made a great adjustment on the potential wild throw to first. That may have saved the game. Keep your head up Bear. Great things are ahead of you.

I’m assuming that the game is actually started at 8:06 tonight. I saw a press release (or tweet) from LSU stating that the game will be delayed until 8p and will be televised on ESPN2.

However, my channel guide shows FSU at OSU at that time on the Duece. ESPN has the Yankees & Red Sox on, which will definitely not get bumped for College Baseball.

So, will the LSU game move to ESPNU, which shows some 30 for 30 broadcasts tonight? Anybody seen anything official about the updated broadcast plans?

Well I’m hoping that LSU can somehow and someday generate enough excitement and electricity to rival the atmosphere in Swayze Field in Oxford, MS. We aren’t quite there yet, but are trending in the right direction. Maybe next year? (Fingers crossed).

Yesterday, in Baton Rouge, Alex Box Stadium had over 12,000 fans for the 5th time this year. Maybe someone can get those 12k fans to blow bubbles, throw beer or even whistle to generate some noise & excitement down the road. They just sit on their collective hands way too much.
