Auburn’s 48 ranked losses are second most behind only Arkansas and their 53 ranked losses.

The west was such a grind. Number of games against ranked teams.

Alabama: 79 (62-17)
Auburn: 66 (18-48)
Arkansas: 66 (13-53)
LSU: 59 (30-29)
Ole Miss: 53 (23-30)
Texas A&M: 53 (22-31)
MSU: 53 (15-38)

West average: 61

Georgia: 68 (46-22)
UK: 43 (14-29)
Tenn: 56 (18-38)
UF: 54(15–39)
Mizzou: 41 (9-32)
USCe: 55 (11-44)
Vandy: 48 (8-48)

East average: 52

There are a lot of outliers in the polls every week because I don’t think we’ve EVER had a poll not change from week to week. It’s almost as if they just make it up week to week (after the games prove last weeks wrong). It’s a scam.

Teams move up and down in the polls due to wins and losses each week. Imagine that.

Does Kentucky's record include the vacated wins over #15 Iowa and #10 Florida in 2021?

It’s because they rank SEC teams high every year. If they ranked ACC teams high then they’d have a lot more ranked wins. It’s all a scam to get your money and you SEC guys eat it up.

But, again, the preseason polls will have the SEC teams ranked highly based in nothing except your fans are willing to spend more money. .

I won't say you are wrong about this list...

But if you exclude OU and Texas (because they have only been in the SEC for two years during the 13 year CFP era)... There are only three SEC teams the top 15 on here.

Only 10 teams own winning records against ranked opponents; four are current members of the SEC (Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, LSU).

And of those 4, only 3 have won national championships since the world thought Y2K was gonna destroy everything.

It’s rather striking how many more games Bama has played than most of the other top teams.

It's not striking at all. You played in the playoff and won when you were there. It certainly isn't because you scheduled more.

According to Google, since 2015, the SEC has produced an average of 57.6 NFL draftees per year. That's nearly 50% more than the B1G's 40.3 (despite being a smaller conference) and 70% more than the ACC (34.0).

I'd imagine that the mainstream preseason polls are based on a little more than "nothing"

No matter which era, Alabama is always at the top of the list.

Yeah, that number is more surprising when you take 2019 into account (7-0 against ranked teams). Without that squad LSU's record against ranked opponents, you're 23-29... barely above Ole Miss.

Its pretty meaningless. I mean, teams of lesser conferences like the Big12 and Pac10 would of course had easier 'ranked' opponents for the most part.

The SEC East was a huge joke. That's why Georgia always had an easy path to the SECCG. Guarantee they never make that game if they played a real schedule.

And yet they won the SECCG in each of the first two years that the divisions were eliminated.
