Truth be told, Silver should always be about 1/6 of the price of gold. Which would put its real value around 700 bucks or so.

I think this is missing the point a bit, at least in my case.

I can only speak for myself, but when I faded away from the NFL in the early 90's, I can remember just not caring anymore. If my team wasn't involved in the playoffs or the Super Bowl, I no longer watched.

Whereas before, I would always watch out of love of the game. Even playoff games between two teams I hated. But over time, that changed. It happened slowly, then all at once. And then one day i realized it was a Monday morning and I was checking the score to see who won a game on Sunday. For MY team. I had not even watched the game

By that time, I was only watching college football.

But now, I can draw parallels to that and how I feel about college football today. I watch every UF game. If we ever made the playoffs (haha yes I know) I would watch. But I feel myself starting to...not care again. Just as it happened for me with the NFL.

Am I alone? Maybe so. But I havent watched a playoff game yet this year. And who knows, maybe I'll watch the championship game, If I'm not busy doing something else. But it won't depend on WHO is in the game.
