If a player has done any of these:
Signed a contract with a NFL team.
Appeared on a NFL roster. Preseason or otherwise, it is still an NFL roster.
Played in a NFL game, preseason or regular season, it is still an NFL game
Just make it a blanket attempted to make an NFL roster or made the 53 man roster/practice squad and call it a day. Why should players like Wright be penalized for making it further in the tryout process than someone like Hutson.
It should be all or nothing and not the picking and choosing that’s going on right now.

The Bediako mistake got handled. Albeit Oats was let of the hook very lightly for the games he played.

Have any of these players finished the season with LSU? Maybe we should just let this play out and see what happens.
But I raise you another question. Was Alabama forced to vacate any wins or otherwise punished in any way for playing an ineligible player for 5 games?

And do you think Oats cares about what ESPN or some journalist says? He tried something and it did not work, but other than people bitching what was the blow back? If it worked and he wins the Natty he would be laughing to the bank.
I don't recall the SEC Commish and every president making this issue the last stand. I have no sympathy for the adults in the room trying to outbid each other at every turn. You are missing the big picture, and I'm sure it's mostly because of how hard you are leaning into this issue emotionally. That's a YOU problem.
So you know, I have zero respect for this trash product called college sports in Tuscaloosa and everywhere else. Others on this site have voiced the same concerns ad nauseam, and somehow LSU fans have instant amnesia about all these countless threads from hardcore fans of every school for years now. We don't need more problem children we need some solutions.

I think it Could open Pandora's Box. Allow it this time. What prevents someone from challenging the 5 for 5 rule in the future?
Its not like the NCAA is batting 1.000.
There is another component to this. The SEC is testing its governance as an independent body as if it may split from the NCAA. If the SEC can't govern its bylaws, then splitting from the NCAA won't work.

So you are saying Bediako, filed the lawsuit and enrolled at Bama without ever discussing this with Oats?
Why not. LSU fans are lined up around the building to tell us LSU has nothing to do with any of this even after Dae’quan Wright practiced with LSU yesterday.
Lane Kiffin says ex-NFL player practiced with LSU football Monday
quote:
BATON ROUGE — An ex-NFL player practiced with LSU football on Monday morning. First-year LSU coach Lane Kiffin shared with reporters Aug. 31 at his weekly press conference that tight end Dae'Quan Wright went through his first practice with the Tigers. "I can tell you that Dae'Quan practiced and the SEC knows that," Kiffin said.
He is correct, the SEC is very aware of that.

Why should someone who punches someone else and kills them be penalized more than someone who takes a swing at someone and just grazes them? They both just punched somebody. It should be all or nothing. Right?

I am not emotional at all, I think the way all of this is going down is ridiculous. It is the outrage that all of a sudden things that have been going down is now LSU is trying to cheat when everyone (LSU included) has been doing this for as long as we have been alive.
I hope none of the "pro" players can play, but this is an NCAA issue not just LSU
