Yeah this is concerning, Smack was always the one who would give the updates and let us know the goings on, but lately it seems more doom and gloom.
Smack are you dumping if this thing bounces?
re: How can anyone that loves LSU like Lane Kiffin?
Posted by LSUGrad2005 on 8/3/26 at 3:22 pm to Rouge
I can understand that; however, we all mature at different rates and he has been thrust into the coaching spotlight from a very young age. You can also see the influence that Saban had on him and I feel (which I know means nothing) he will be here for the long term.
He has everything needed to win here and I think he knows that and will do what he can to make his legacy a real one.
Only time will tell if this is the case, but he is saying and doing the right things now.

So if Kiffin wins here will Rouge still not like him, or is it just that he did not like him because he coached against LSU?

I will not downvote you, but for $1.5M per year that almost matches Logan Schmidt's signing bonus. I would think he would consider LSU for that, even not wanting to go to school.
I say all of that because I believe $5M over 3 years seems high

with a child at that age, I am working the 4-10s and spending time. Money is not everything and they gow up too fast. You can pick up shifts once they are in high school and ignore you

Age, how many years of work left, marital staus, kids??? These are the pieces of information we would need to answer this

I want to DCA, but I do not want to tie up anymore money on this one.
Guess the real question is have they broken ground yet and actually started building?

What part of South LA? Did you budget for piles, electrical, plumbing, windows?
$40k maybe a tough to do in this market.

Not according to a % of this board. We are firing the staff and cutting everyone because of a down year.

Just about all LSU fans disagree with this idiot.

re: But Jay got yorke in the game

Kyle Peterson brought this up during the game. Jay was getting guys into the game that may/will not play again (at the next level). He said it Jay's way of showing respect.
I think Jay knew the season was over and wanted to do what he thought was a send off.
Everyone has an opinion but I would like to think he was doing this as a send off.

Thanks for the updates, do they have the full funding for the project, or will they need to dilute the stocks to finish the project?

Smack, I hope you are right. Is there a construction completion date for the Arkansas project?

Got me with the trans joke.
But you are comparing Jay Johnson to a coach that inherited a stacked team and won one national championship with a team and culture built by someone else and then was too stubborn to change. Jay Johnson inherited shite and within two years won a national title and then did it again.
Jay Johnson has stated he made mistakes. Something Les miles never admitted. I think we give him the benefit of the doubt and see what next year brings.

What else doe CJJ have to do? He admitted he made some mistakes in the portal and evaluating talent.
He has said it more than once and you arse hats pretend that it is going to get better the next week.
WE do not have the talent to be a top team this year, it is obvious. However, the fire CJJ people want him to pull a rabbit out of his arse and that is not how baseball works.
He admitted he screwed up, there is nothing that can be done about the season.
We have the best coach in the country, in this day with NIL this will happen when you have to rely on the portal.

No, definitely not Curiel. Maybe 1% chance Milam does, but highly doubtful considering he will have no leverage
