this was discussed on 104.5 the zone in nashville and their were many more votes for GT than i expected. The consensus was besides carolina and duke it is easier to get a good team to the dance (VT makes me scratch my head on that) and that their is so much talent for the Jackets to get...What do yall think? i would choose arkansas because of their arena, tradition, and i would think you could build a powerhouse in the west...what do yall think? of course i like sec basketball the best so that may be a bias

I say Arkansas since it would be like LSU. You have no school against you in recruiting the state. Where GT is always recruiting against UGA

I say PUSH

GA Tech has a better recruiting base and plays in the ACC

Arkansas has better facilities and plays in the SEC.

most talented players are one and done at Tech, though. academics are way too hard after the first year for most of the superstars to keep up appearances with classes

For basketball?

For me it's without a doubt, Arkansas. It's extremely difficult to knock off the two Carolina schools and programs like NC State, Maryland, Wake Forest, Virginia and the like won't be down forever. Arkansas has a much easier road in the SEC and a richer history to boot.

I think being in the top conference called the SEC just about seals it for Arky. However, if you are looking at ease of being one of the best in your conference GT and ACC.

Eehhhh....it's tough. I guess I'll say tech barely. I know Arkansas has a title semi-recently (and I don't THINK tech has any), but tech is a basketball school, along with baseball I suppose. They have pretty recently been very good, have had a history of some good coaches, but most importantly have Atlanta and the ACC going for him. You'd be hard pressed to find a better area in the country recently than Metro atlanta for high school bball talent.

Georgia Tech's history ain't too shabby. Bobby Cremins had a great run, and Hewett made it the the championship game in 2004.

Georgia Tech has had a good past 25 years of basketball since the tournament expanded to 64 teams they have made the tournament 15 times in 25 years and have made 7 sweet sixteens 2 final fours and one Championship game.

Arkansas made 18 NCAA tournaments in the same time period, 6 sweet sixteens, with 3 final fours, one runner up, and one Championship.

Not tons different if you look at things IMO.
