I recognize like 10 posters total from LSU and Bama combined who are actual hoops fans

A truly novel concept--the "home field disadvantage."
Seriously, I don't think it's the pressure from the crowd. Might it be the pressure from the coah? Hard to say, but if I'm ranking suspects (other than random bad luck and playing slightly superior opponents) I'm going to put coaching pressure over home crowd pressure.

The only way I see this happening is with a pick 6 or blocked punt for a TD

Alabama sucks bad. WVU & Oregon both put 20+ on LSU's D. Alabama only could score 6. hahahahaha
Bama and close game disasters at home since Shula
Posted by RammerJammerBammer on 11/11/11 at 10:43 am
Most of the time when we play a close game at home we lose. It always seems like the offense is real nervous and jittery. I guess the home crowd creates this added pressure. 6-3 win over UT, OT win against Ole Piss, UT '09 are a few exceptions but big close games at home are usually disastrous for us. LSU (05, 07, 11) Auburn (10, 06, 04) our only win over LSU was the 9 pointer in 2009 and a 36 point bombing of Auburn. But every close game has been a loss. Why? Les and LSU win all those games and really auburn does too. Lots of people call auburn and LSU the two luckiest teams in the nation but I dont really buy that. So why doesn't happen?

quote:so bama blasts their last 3 opponents, Stan and State lose, LSU DEMOLISHES all the rest of their opponents....then all of a sudden perception changes to "Wow this LSU team is damn near unbeatable and jesus Alabama actually took them to OT" (all of a sudden people will say even though it was at home thats tough to take that amazing team to OT) so the negative of alabama losing that home game in OT could vanish if LSU looks crazy good. Then there will be no way to put OU in with that Tech Loss
) on this board agrees that they are the second best team in the nation. But this board doesn't make a 'consensus', certainy not on the national scene. And that's what matters. There is no definitive, objective PROOF that Bama is the #2 team other than playing us close at their place. Hell, MSU almost did that.

If you install the game does that mean you don't need the disk anymore? So if I wanted to keep NHL 12 i could install it but still trade it in? That can't be right

quote:you guys get the honor of playing for a SEC title. you make it sound like thats horrible. Id rather yall be sitting on the couch waiting for miracles to happen to get to the title. Your reward for beating us is that you dont have to worry and depend on others. if you face us again then so be it. we had to get extremely lucky
This.
Let me get this straight. Alabama thinks they deserve the right if they win out to play us in a rematch even though we would have to win 4 and not 3 more games to play them. Sounds logical.
