If anything that guy was saying is remotely true then tech firms wouldn’t be laying off American workers. They want cheap labor and their donations last fall gave them access to Trump. Simple as that.
Good boomer pep talk for us. Thanks

If that were true why would tech firms be gutting jobs while importing Indians?
If by ground you mean allowing his tech donors to benefit from firing Americans in favor of foreigners, sure
Ah, you can read Trump’s mind.
No, it isn’t. These “highly skilled workers” are taking jobs from American workers at lower wages. They’re also straining housing and infrastructure in certain areas. Not to mention if they stay and get permanent status, they tend to vote Democrat.

Yeah, we’re recruiting welders from India now
Your post doesn’t make sense. Hundreds of thousands of tech workers have been laid off in the past few years.

Corporations are targeting cheaper areas, so no. Maybe China.

Trump is catering to his donor class and throwing red meat to people who still watch Hannity and think Israel is a winning issue
Hundreds of thousands of American tech workers have been laid off. You’re peddling bullshite if you think we “need” these workers.

You’ll get some useless anecdote about how some poster’s Indian coworker is the most maga guy he knows

It will also change the voting in places like North Texas. It already has in Fort Bend County.

Either this is an economic zone that is a place where people from across the world can come to get benefits (H1B jobs, welfare, college) at the detriment of our job market, healthcare systems, housing market, and general infrastructure or this is a nation with traditions, cultural norms, and institutions worth preserving and putting support behind.
If you are willing to forgo emphasis on building up what’s already here to support shareholder value, you are not “maga”.
