so basketball players can't be white?
Watch the NCAA tournament this week and look at the numbers. Its a FACT that African Americans make up a large majority of the rosters of D1 college basketball programs, and an even larger number for top 25 teams.
Duke being the exception.

Not a requirement, but it sure helps recruit inner city kids.

Qualify that. Pick the NCAA champs in the last 30 years who fit this profile. We'll wait.

What is it with MSU fans and fricking SEC West titles?
Who gives a frick about a division title?
The proper wording should have been.......
The same "Big Fish" who has not played for a National Title since the 1990's?
Now, suck on that, waller it around for a bit, then chew.

like i said, not a requirement. when only one of the top 6 programs of all time is in a big city, and when only one champ fits that criteria in 30 years, i'd say it's pretty much irrelevant.

hadn't heard yall were getting a new arena. Upgrading facilities definitely helps recruiting especially in an area like metro Atlanta. Yall were very good under Bobby Cremins.

UCLA played for the National Championship against Florida in 2006, and made the Final 4 in 2007 and 2008 as well. Your calling them irrelevant, yet Arkansas is a basketball powerhouse??? GIVE ME A BREAK.

I wouldn't exactly say either of these teams were filled with inner city kids.
