The SEC moving the game out of Atlanta is the ACC's wet dream. They'd move to Atlanta tomorrow and would never let the SEC have it back.
That is why OP's idea is stupid.

Okay? BTW, traffic is bad in both places no matter the time frame

Houston is the 4th largest city in the country--Atlanta is 37th. You wouldn't know it driving through it.
Atlanta metro is 6 million and Houston is close to 7 million...silly just to compare city proper populations.
The vast majority of the folks using those highways don't live in the city.

Yeah, the ACC wants to go to Atlanta. They would not move out. The ATL also has great flight options. Seems logical to have it there. NOLA would not be a bad option

I wish it would rotate between Atlanta, New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Miami, Jacksonville, and Nashville.

Bring it back to Birmingham when the new stadium is done.

I do think it should alternate out of ATL but not to Houston. It would be like going from the left armpit of America to the right

They finally building a dome?

There are many of us that go to game....just as many others from our member schools go. I'd also like it to be in Nashville, but Nissan Stadium would be cold

Living in Houston, I can’t say I object.

You guys do realize that if you tried this stunt Atlanta would just say FU and let the ACC have the game every year? And I doubt that Houston would want to host it every other year as well.

Not unlike the baseball tourney, it needs to alternate amongst multiple states.

Don't think it's a dome. It's a multi-purpose outdoor venue space right next to Uptown/BJCC

So I will park in a parking garage and not somebody's yard?

Looks like a great place to play.

Why should the SECCG be played, every year, in the SECE.
I would play it this way:
2 years in ATL and the third year in Houston. Let UGA have a drive every so often.

For the SEC championship game? A game between two southeastern conference teams?

Houston is an excellent host of major events. It’ll be good for y’all to get a little diversity in your life.
