That road game at Georgia where Mett and Jarvis and Odell went off. Both teams had crazy good offense that game. LSU ultimately lost because we gave UGA an extra possession due to Odell fumbling a punt inside our 10.
Murray vs Mettenberger was a QB duel for the ages. Neither defense was great, but a lot of that is because both of those guys were in complete control of that game.

Missed this what did he say?

"He really said that?" Dempsey asked. "Man, I can't take this guy too seriously. It was an honor for me growing up and represent my country. When the national anthem happened, I wasn't someone who normally would sing. I put my hand over my heart and I'd pray to the good man upstairs. I'm someone who's bled for this country. I broke my nose playing for this country. I've come back from two heart procedures and played for this country.
"I'm not going to take advice from someone who switched to the other side and singing another country's national anthem. And as my boy [Thierry Henry] would say, stay in your own lane. It looks like he's in a dang moped, so worry about your own team."
2005 Sugar Bowl vs WVU
I'm sure he would turn it over with no hesitation if they asked him to
Off the top of my head, this is the first time the USA has won a World Cup game by multiple goals since Dos a Cero in 2002
What a perfect way to finish out a dominant performance

Strider left game due to right arm soreness according to ?? ?? tv
His fastball velo was at 87-88 on his last few pitches. It's sad to see but he is totally cooked.

How many times have we seen the exact opposite script in a World Cup game, where the USA never has the ball and is chasing the whole game?

They're seeing McLean well right now. Riley and Yaz laying off of good sliders is very encouraging
And Strider gets taken yard by Bo Bichette in the first inning. Yikes.
Soto too.
I would seriously consider whether or not Strider is even worthy of a postseason roster spot at this point. He's just bad.

Should get this one in tonight. I'd imagine we'll start between 8:15-8:30.
Hopefully Strider didn't get hot in the bullpen yet.
ETA: 8:30 EST first pitch

Dude was a good player before 1998, and had he continued at the pace he did he would have had a hall of fame resume.
Barry Bonds 1986-1997:
374 HR, .959 OPS, 91.8 bWAR, 3 MVPs, 7 Gold Gloves
He was already a first ballot HOF player at that point.

C Sandy Leon S
Woof. Hurry back, Drake!
I'd rather see Leon hit cleanup than Riley right now. Riley will put too much pressure on himself and try to hit a 5 run HR every time he's at the plate.

It is depressing that Ian Darke and Landon Donovan are doing this game and we get stuck listening to John Strong screech his way through the USA game tomorrow night.

If he retired before the 2001 season, he would have finished with more career HRs than Lou Gehrig, a higher OPS than Mickey Mantle, and would be top 20 all time in WAR.

Though maybe on the inside he just wants it all to burn down
No, he's actually retarded. It shows every time he occasionally posts in a Braves thread.

Disrespect is the result of low emotional intelligence caused by cultural rot.
My theory is it's a prison ethos that has spilled out of prison into black street culture. In prison, everything is taken away from you. The only thing you have left is self-respect. If someone threatens the only thing you own, you kill for it.
