We blinked first with the MOU and let all their tankers through. They have us in a chokehold. They are able to tolerate infinitely more economic pain than the US is. Our citizens are bitching about $1-2 gas price increases like it’s the end of the world.
Politically it’s not sustainable in the US. For Iran they can do whatever they want because it’s essentially a dictatorship.

They are going to toll every ship that passes through it. There’s not a damn thing America can do about it. The sooner we accept the new normal and move on, the sooner this cycle will end. Sadly, the IRGC will be entrenched and enriched with these new tolls.

What a fuggin quagmire. This military strategy has been embarrassing from the get go. We’re too scared of our own shadow because of Iraq/Afghanisfan.
We should pull out and let Iran charge the tolls on ships at this point. Let everyone see how high gas prices will remain when every tanker that passes through that strait gets a charge slapped on it indefinitely. Try to mess with the expansion of Iran’s regional influence and they'll shut the strait down completely and gas will really climb. Maybe an administration will eventually come along and do what needs to be done to Iran. It isn’t happening with this one before the midterms.

He’s polished and fiery in these hearings but he isn’t some MAGA trailblazer fighting for what the voters want.
Not a big fan of the jersey patches but if it’s part of the price to pay for NIL destroying the alabama/georgia chokehold on paying the most under the table and thus landing the #1 or #2 class every year then I’m all for jersey patches.

There’s only two ways to win this war and we aren’t going to use either of them.
