You think missing Thanksgiving for a football game is bad, just wait till you miss a wedding for a football game. HA!

I already have two fall weddings to be at this year.

Oh no indeed. If you plan a wedding in the south in the middle of winter you deserve a half-filled church.

Let 'em be pissed

Then again my dad's side of the family is originally from Bryan/College Station, so they already know what's up

My opinion has nothing to do with us legitimizing/delegitimizing UTex. They are who they are, regardless of what we do--I'd never claim otherwise (I'm not a shite-talker). My viewpoint is framed around us not repeating mistakes of the past; and allowing the horns to call the shots for the last two decades was a mistake.

regardless, its going to come back. Its too big of a tradition, for the state and schools, to not.

The process of bringing it back will start as soon as Dodds is gone.

On that, we agree. And when it does, I'm in favor of an early season match-up.

When UT says "only on our terms", has anything come out as to what those terms may be? As in only in Austin? Time of the season that fits their schedule best? etc

Don't listen to this clown, almost everyone is pumped about playing A&M yearly now. They might not like when the game is(some prefer Turkey day some prefer Saturday, etc.), but almost everyone is pumped about facing A&M annually.

Since LSU fans don't like the idea of playing on Thanksgiving it should be a rotation of Thurs and Fri games.

When the game is in College Station it's on Thursday and when it's in Baton Rouge it's on Friday.

Slive better make this happen.

I don't understand Aggies' fascination with watching their team on Thanksgiving day. Did any of you make a huge deal about it when the game with the horns was moved to Friday for 10+ years?

Get over the void left in your weary hearts of not playing the horns and look ahead. LSU on Thanksgiving WEEKEND/T+1 is how it's going to be. DWI.

Same here. I'm all for playing A&M on Black Friday annually but have no interest in a yearly game on Thanksgiving Day.

The T+1 move was/is widely debated.

Anytime that weekend is good with me.

I would only consider it if - - LSU was good with switching back to Arky - Kansas also was on board to play Mizzou that weekend Otherwise, some SEC school would get screwed out of a game that weekend

I enjoyed the Thanksgiving games while in school but I acknowledge how it screwed up the entire family's schedule. There's an argument for better national exposure: if it is the only college game on that day, people in New Hampshire are watching it. But if A&M and LSU continue to not suck, it will be televised pretty much everywhere and everyone who cares about college football will watch if it is on Friday. Saturday not so much but it would still be a huge draw. Mostly I'd like to see that game being the last of the regular season for the near future, whether Friday or Saturday. That would bolster the rivalry (which many LSU fans don't seem to want to accept, but it's coming whether you want it or not, as long as we're not a flash in the pan).

As for Texas, I wouldn't go as far as to say "they can suck the farts out of my arse"... though that's probably the best and grossest insult I've ever heard and I've filed it away... but Thanksgiving or Thanksgiving weekend I'd hope won't happen, whether the LSU rivalry develops or not. Early in the season, a week or two before the annual OU beatdown would be good.

Excuse me, I'm 62 and a graduate from LSU, class of'72. While I attended LSU, A&M and Baylor were on our schedule every year. The A&M game wasn't a big deal at all. In fact A&M and Baylor were always at the beginning of our schedule. Rice was played yearly as well. We never played Auburn, Tenn., Vandy, Georgia during those years. In fact, during the early seventies, LSU played Tennessee in the Astro Bluebonnet Bowl. We played Fla., and Kentucky on a yearly basis in football. LSU biggest game in those days was against Ole Miss. TBH, if Ole Miss beats us in the upcoming season, then you young people will know what a rivalry truely is. A&M was an early cupcake on our schedule. You need to check your history before you claim that A&M was a rival of LSU.

I guess you quit watching us kick your arse in the 90s?

Just because you are old doesn't mean you forgot those beatings.
