OK, y'all stick with Tulane and Old Miss... but a A&M/LSU game Thanksgiving week is a much better draw nationwide than vs. t.u. There will be cries to bring that game back when both teams are good at the same time, which has pretty much never happened concurrently.

And the poster who stated they could perform sexual acts on a goat pretty much sums it up.

Respectfully, that train has already left the station. Arkansas gave up the November date with LSU, so they could get a permanent schedule with A&M at Cowboy stadium. A&M would rather play the Hogs on a home and home basis. Dallas/Arlington is three hours away from College Station and is hardly considered a home game.

Arkansas recruits DFW and North Texas heavily and they want the presence in that area.

Future schedules will reflect the change.

We didn't want the game in DFW but do want the LSU/A&M home and home end of year match up.

As for playing texas, I personally would not. But if you think the horns will make that decision by themselves, you just don't understand what is going on.

Dodds is trying to appear tough but he is in trouble with losing football, basketball and baseball programs.

Plus the sex discrimination suit with the former women's track coach and the slap on the hand of Major Applewhite will soon draw national attention and could end up with a house cleaning from the top of the Athletic Program.

The texas Board of Regents declined to settle her case out of court......and that means they are leaving Deloss out there to take the brunt of the explosion.

Discovery will be a "must read".

The better question is Mizzou/Arkansas. In 2014, they will begin playing on "Rivalry weekend". Would you dump that for a renewed Border War?

I'm looking forward to the Thanksgiving weekend game with the Piggies. It would be great if it could be played at Arrowhead--I'm sure the Flagship would bring a ton more fans than ku ever did. But since they already play at least one home game off campus (Little Rock), they probably would want it as a home and home which is fine.

If the beakers ever want to play again, they can play on Mizzou's terms early in the season or not at all. They'd be a good warm up game for the SEC season.

I would be ok if we never played them again. They need us more than we need them.

I would only consider it if -

- LSU was good with switching back to Arky
- Kansas also was on board to play Mizzou that weekend

Otherwise, some SEC school would get screwed out of a game that weekend

It will definitely have to be home and home for the foreseeable future because starting next year we will be playing two games in Little Rock and a permanent game with A&M in Dallas. They wont take another game away from Fayetteville until they can pry another game out of Little Rock.

Not to mention the Jerry World game against Texas A&M. I think the piggies have reached their limit on non-campus games.

This game in the coming years is gonna be awesome. It was getting nasty in the 90's and I think it can get there again. Pumped that it is on rivalry weekend now

It's a bit of a different situation, I think. The Border War was a lot more intense than Texas/aTm and kU is probably just following directions from the burnt orange mothership when they say they won't play us. kU did run their mouth when we left, but they were out in the cold with us during the 4 southern teams to the Pac 10 fiasco and should understand our move more than anybody. They just have nowhere to go, so they act mighty and use the wHorns logic.

That being said, if they're going to want to play in football, it better be quick. I have a feeling the Mizzou fanbase outside of the KC metro is going to forget about them with with each passing year. Unfortunately for our KC brothers and sisters, every jayhawk fan in the world is in the KC area and there's no escape.

The one who will decide whether A&M and Texas play on Thanksgiving again is LSU.

If they want to go back to the way it was in the 90's when we were each others' season opener, then we can reserve the thanksgiving date for a lesser opponent (gay cows from Austin).

If not, then the sips have to play on OUR terms or not at all.

lol, once DeLoss is gone in a few years we are going to start playing them on Thanksgiving again.

all this chest thumping and saying screw them is just as stupid as some of their fans and admin garbage claims that we left so we quit the series.

We'll inform both schools of our decision at some point. Best of luck to them in securing us as their primary rival.

I wasn't attempting to chest thump, just offering my take on the topic.
And yes, screw them. Had the conference expansion situation worked out on their behalf (and had the LHN amounted to anything worthy), they wouldn't have looked back. Now that they're struggling on multiple fronts, they're looking to do damage control.
It feels good to move on. Facing the horns again on TD would feel like a step backwards.
But that's just my opinion.
