I have a nephew in the airforce on active duty in a bad area, so I am not by any means anti armed forces. But the SEC rant is not the place for personal email exchanges. But mabe this is just my opinion.

Every place is the appropriate place to raise my glass and thank our military men & women--from all universities.

I have nothing but the upmost respect for those who serve this country. My deceased brother fought in Vietnam. From the bottom of my heart, I thank and respect you men and women who serve in the military. To the vets I want to say THANK YOU for your sacrifice. I'm glad that you made it back safely, wherever you served. The Good Lord was watching out for you. Again, thanks for your bravery.

I'm of a similar vintage to Avondale and I attended a few of the season openers before the series ended in 1974....
I like the idea of a season ended, but NOT on Thanksgiving Day.....it may be a Texas thing, but we're NOT Texans.....
Would really like to see a Friday night game, of course with CBS...the probability of that happening is slim to none....
Aggies, what y'all have to understand is the LSU fan base doesn't have the energy against you that we have against the evil Sabanites or the pretentious gits from Oxfart.....
We have our own military history and even though we're not a senior military college we hold our own as a producer of officers.....
If you Aggies ever want to see a heated LSU argument, watch the OT when the subject of our first president comes up and why nothing on campus is named after him (and the ROTC building is nameless).....clue...he gave LSU the two bronze cannons in front of the building .....
